Growing up Thanksgiving was by far my most favorite holiday. All the pleasure of Christmas without the pressure of presents. It also was a holiday that involved thanking the creator for our blessings that year and was a holiday when the Native American was celebrated for helping the white man.

In honor of that I offer up some holiday tips to both veteran hosts and hostesses as well as newbees.

Rule number one remember it's not about the food its about the fellowship. You don't have to have turkey, chicken, a tv dinner, a brisket, Denney's, soup, anything can be a Thankgiving meal. Remember the first one was just a big pot luck meal. In your haste and hurry don't forget  to be in each moment for time passes quickly and memories are meant to be sweet.

If you are alone this year it need not be lonely volunteer somewhere that day. Volunteer to work for a coworker. Help out at a hospital,soup kitchen,church, the VA,military base, meals on wheels,etc.

If you are housebound and have a phone start a call tree and wish folks a happy day. Or make it a day of prayer for your loved ones, your country etc. Have a tv, enjoy the parades or sports or Christmas movies on tv.

For those with the task of hosting the day here are a few tips.

Housecleaning. Most import just have a clean bathroom. No one will notice anything else. Hire a merry maid for a day to do the general house cleaning. Have kids. Put them to work. Always include children in prep and cooking. Making memories folks. Mom or Dad can't do it all. TGD is about community.

Need more seating? Rent or borrow from family and friends.

Turkey Tips

Don't be stressed about the turkey. Easiest thing to cook in the world. Still a little frozen? Keep it in the wrapper and place it in a clean sink or a large tub with cold tap and turn it periodically changing the water if it gets warm. This speeds the defrost.  And don't forget to pull the giblet and parts bag out of the inside gavities. The bags are usually located in the inside gavity and at the front under the neck flap. Purchasing at the last minute, go for a fresh or fully cooked turkey. Avoid discounted frozen turkeys you may run into a bad one. Your turkey is the featured player so buy a good one.

What do you do with those parts. If the heart,liver gizard etc look rich in color they can be prepared to use in the stuffing or deep fried etc. If not, toss out. The neck and tail numb you will remove from the base of spine of the bird are good to boil with the organ parts in about five cups of water with an onion cut in half,some stalks of celery with the leaves and a carrot for broth for gravy and use in stuffing. Boil and then simmer for a 2-3 hours to render the flavor from the meat and the fat from the skin. Strain out the solids and save the organ meats except for the gizzard and throw out the tail. De skin the neck and some of the meat can be pulled off and chopped fine to use in the stuffing.  If the heart is tender finely chop it and the other organ meats and it also can be used in the stuffing.

What seasoning means TG? Sage. Sage is that key seasoning that permeates stuffing,turkey and gravies. One of the best turkey seasonings around is Bell's Turkey Seasoning. It has a heavy accent of sage and that's what makes it great on and in your turkey, stuffing and gravy. Now I know you may prefer cajun or injectables, or sweet rather than savory sauces, but for the old fashioned Momma style Sage is the Daddy of TG flavors.

Turkey seasoning is simple salt,pepper,paprika and bells turkey seasoning or sage inside and out after you put a little olive oil on the outside of the bird so the seasonings stick. Many injectable seasonings are available as well as sweet and savory glazes for the end of cooking. If you stuff don't over stuff and pack in the stuffing. Lightly put in a few tablespoons and put the rest of the stuffing in a baking dish to cook in the oven. Remember stuffing the bird lengthens the cooking time and only stuff just before you put it in the oven. Any turkey will come with temp,time baking instructions based on weight. make sure you write down the weight and when you put the turkey into the oven. Many turkeys come with pop up timers but use a meat thermometer periodically to test for doness. Try to avoid opening and closing the oven too much it will lengthen the cooking time. Figure on basting about every 45 minutes and that is about the time to look at the meat thermometer. Also remember when choosing the bird  the smaller the turkey the tenderer the bird. Buying two small birds for a larger group can be a good thing. Cook one the day before pouring the juices over the cut up parts in a reheatable dish and cover tightly and refrigerate. Cook the second bird the day of for presentation and smell. You'll have 4 legs and thighs and 4 wings and everyone will be happy. Also consider using a large roaster cooker and cook both birds at the same time. When open roasting in a roasting pan remember to tent the breast top and put some foil over the legs and wing area as they cook so they don't over cook. When checking temp remember that the turkey will continue to cook as it rests before slicing so if it's about 5 degrees under temp that's not a bad thing. If it's five over it may be a little dry but gravy is wonderful thing. Don't be afraid to use Turkey size cooking bags to cook your turkey. This is a great way for newbee's to have a moist Turkey.

If you don't have one, invest in an electric knife or borrow one. It makes for even cuts and easy cutting of the Turkey.

If you are making pies and stuffing do it the day before. Traditional pumpkin has time to cool and you can papertowel off any beaded sugar moisture before refrigerating. Keep fruit pies out of the frig and place in a secured location with a little foil lightly on top after it is completely cooled to keep the crust crispy. This goes for baked frozen fruit pies as well.

Don't be afraid to ask guests to bring something like rolls,corn bread, vegetable casseroles,salads,deserts etc. It lighten's the burden for you and really captures the real meaning of the first thanksgiving and keeps family and friend recipes alive. Suggest they bring a copy of their recipe to share with the other guests.

For hosts on the go with little time supermarkets have a variety of time savers such as seasonal side dishes ready for the microwave from Bob Evans ,Country Crock or the Deli like stuffing, mashed potatoes,greenbean casserole etc. As I said before precooked turkeys available for reheat are also available. Consider cooking just a Turkey Breast or a Turkey Roast.

Gravy can be a thing. It doesn't have to be. Use a jared sauce or dry gravy packet and add some of the juices from the bird in the gravy and add some pepper and some bells turkey seasoning or sage and your sauce will taste from scratch. Always make twice to three times the amount of gravy you think you will need because folks like it on turkey,stuffing,potatoes, and biscuits. Rule of thumb you can never have enough gravy. Keep a pot on the stove warm and covered to refill and reheat the gravy service.

Mashed potatoes are easy. Plan on 5lbs for 8-10 people 10 for a larger group. Red Potatoes or Yukon Gold seem to be the best choices and the creamest. Pick large ones for less peeling. This is a great job for guests and kids to participate. Go a dollar store and pick up more than one of those slip style peelers and instruct. And reserve the knive and cubing to a more experienced volunteer. Drop the cut up potatoes in the boiling pot filled with cold water.Then boil in water after peeling cutting up into uniform med pieces untill a fork breaks them apart. Drain the water and mash with a masher or hand mixer untill lump free add a stick of real butter for every five lbs and then add about a can of condensed mik slowly mixing with a mixer untill the potatoes make peaks. Remember not to go too thin because gravy will be added . Add salt and pepper to taste. I use white pepper so as not to put off folks with a black pepper avoidance issue. For more flavor or creaminess you can use sourcream or fresh smashed roasted garlic. But again remember gravy is going to be poured on this so there is a lot of seasoning that is going to be on these potatoes. Got your potatoes too thin or using mashed potatoes from a store bought turkey dinner kit. Instant potatoes can be added to warm mashed to thicken the consistancy.

Stuffing Tips

Stuffing is easy today with all the stuffing kits available from stove top to pepperidge farm. And drying out in a low oven any stale bread like hot dog buns etc. to add makes for an economical dish. Everyone has different traditions but if you are looking for standard you can add small chopped sauted in butter celery,and onions and then fold in a fresh diced apple with skin on and sprinkled with lemon juice along with enough cups of chicken or turkey broth to saturate the bread moist but not soggy based on the cups of bread crumbs you are using. This is also the time to add any meat from the Turkey or sausage etc . Fold in a beaten egg and season with salt,pepper to taste , a teaspoon of sugar and a tablespoon of Bell's seasoning or sage and a tablespoon of parsley.(Note if you are using stove top or preseasoned stuffing mixtures all you may need is a little salt and pepper and a hint more of sage. Folks also add things like Pinenuts,rehydrated craisins or raisins etc.   Cover and let that mixture rest in the mixing bowl in the frig for the flavors to go through and moisture to permeate. When ready see if any more liquid needs to be added or additional bread crumbs. Remember not to overmix your stuffing fold in additions and handle lightly. It should be fluffy. Place in a greased baking dish and top with a few dabs of butter and bake in a 350 degree oven for about 40-50 minutes. Check it at thirty minutes. This is baked when the turkey has been removed from the oven. When complete let rest a bit before serving. And as I said before the stuffing can be made a day a head and refrigerated and baked the day of after the Turkey has finished baking.

Tips for making Pumpkin pie.

To take the pie up a notch. Use part brown sugar for the sugar. Add a tablespoon of black strap molasses. Add two tablespoons of pumpkin pie spice and for thicker more satisfying texture rather than runny add a tablespoon of all purpose flour. Don't overbake or freeze that is what causes crust seperation.

Turkey Day Schedule

Monday

Shop for all things needed.
If purchasing frozen turkey put in lower part of frig and let defrost.

Tuesday

Clean house and set up tables and chairs

Wednesday

Clean turkey remove the giblet and neck bone bags. Make broth from parts. Season up bird and place in roaster and cover with plastic tightly and refrigerate so seasoning can marry with bird. Do not stuff bird at this time. If bird and pan won't fit. just wrap bird in plastic wrap and place in large bag. You will have to season lightly on outside when unwrapping to place in roaster for cooking day.

Bake Pies

Prepare stuffing and cover and refrigerate mixing bowl.

Set the tables

Turkey Day morning.

Preheat oven.

Have breakfast and put the Turkey in oven at appropriate time.

Shower and change along with fam. Don't forget aprons for all those cooking.

About an hour and a half before the Turkey is done peel and cut potatoes and place in water and boil.

Get a pan for the gravy.

Get a carving station ready for the Turkey.

Finish making the mashed potatoes place in covered server and hold in a warm area.

When turkey is done take out and remove some of the juices and place in gravy pot.

Remove stuffing from bird if any and place in covered serving dish to stay warm.

Cover turkey let it rest.

Place remaining stuffing in casserole dish along with any others and bake for 30-45 minutes.

Make the gravy leave in the cooking pot covered on warm.

Cut up the turkey and place in large serving container. Pour the remaining juices over the bird and cover.

When casseroles are complete remove them and place on hot pads to rest.

The best way to serve is buffet style for groups larger than 4. Remember elderly or infirm guests still need to be served. This is a great thing for older kids to participat in as well as more able guests. Delegate. Tell the older folks to to take a seat and take their orders. A list of available things on the menu is great to have at every table on either side and things like drinks can be placed on table ahead of the meal placement.

Beverages should be kept simple like water,iced tea sweetened and unsweetened,hot tea, milk, coffee. I don't recommend hard liquor. But if guests want to bring beer or wine to share that can be allowed. Drunkeness should not be a part of any large gathering or party. It's not funny and doesn't set a good example for young ones. Smokers should be directed outside where a table with ashtrays and chairs should be available. This is for the comfort of other non smoking guests and health of little ones.

As you may know, Cruz Construction started a division in North Dakota just 6 months ago.
They send every Kenworth (9 trucks) we had here in Alaska to North Dakota and several drivers.
They just bought two new Kenworth's to add to that fleet; one being a Tri Drive tractor and a new 65 ton lowboy to go with it.
They also bought two new cranes (one crawler & one rubber tired) for that division.
Dave Cruz said they have moved more rigs in the last 6 months in ND than Cruz Construction moved in Alaska in the last 6 years.
Williston is like a gold rush town; they moved one of our 40 man camps down there since there are no rooms available.
Unemployment in ND is the lowest in the nation at 3.4 percent last I checked.

Here's an astonishing read. Important and verifiable information:About 6 months ago, the writer was watching a news program on oil and one of the Forbes Bros. was the guest.
The host said to Forbes, "I am going to ask you a direct question and I would like a direct answer;
how much oil does the U.S. have in the ground?" Forbes did not miss a beat, he said, "more than all the Middle East put together."
The U. S.. Geological Service issued a report in April 2008 that only scientists and oil men knew was coming, but man was it big.
It was a revised report (hadn't been updated since 1995) on how much oil was in this area of the western 2/3 of North Dakota,
western South Dakota, and extreme eastern Montana.

Even the 'Big Oil' companies gave up searching for major oil wells decades ago.
However, a recent technological breakthrough has opened up the Bakken's massive reserves,
and we now have access of up to 500 billion barrels. And because this is light, sweet oil,
those billions of barrels will cost Americans just $16 PER BARREL !!!!!!

That's enough crude to fully fuel the American economy for 2041 years straight.

Don't think 'OPEC' will drop its price even with this find? Think again! It's all about the competitive marketplace, it has to.
Think OPEC just might be funding the environmentalists?

You're damn right I said it.
On May 5th I had an email conversation with a retired military man with spook contacts. All were in total agreement that the Bin Laden episode was pure theater. The SEALS were sent into a compound as evidenced by the lost chopper on site. But Osama Bin Laden wasn't in that compound. Osama Bin Laden has been dead for years. Bin Laden had a genetic condition that caused renal failure (this genetic condition is common among deeply inbred Saudi arab muslims). Bin Laden had been on dialysis BEFORE 9/11. Dialysis is difficult enough for people in first world countries who can have it done in outstanding facilities. Bin Laden was having it done either in caves or in homes post 9/11. People in renal failure having dialysis done in fricking caves do NOT live for ten more years. Period. There was no dialysis equipment found in the compound the SEALS raided on May 2. Of course there wasn't. Bin Laden wasn't in that compound because Bin Laden has been dead for years.
This is why the "body" was declared "positively identified" faster than any known DNA testing process in existence - and this DNA testing was carried out not in a lab mind you, but inside Chinook and/or V-22 Osprey helos en route to the USS Carl Vinson. The body was then dumped into the Indian Ocean in a mad dash to ensure that "burial" took place within 24 hours of death in order to "honor" musloid burial traditions. Not a single picture of the so-called "Bin Laden corpse" has ever been released - and never will.
The entire Bin Laden episode was stagecraft. It was pure theater that was designed to give Obama a boost in the polls and give distraction and cover. Distract from what? Cover from what?
April 20, 2011: The release date of Dr. Jerome Corsi's book, "Where's the Birth Certificate" is announced as May 17, and pre-sales begin on Amazon.com. Corsi's work is known to be extremely thorough and meticulous. Within hours, Corsi's book is #1 on Amazon.com - fully 28 days before its release. The Obama regime is panicked.
April 27, 2011: In order to diffuse and undercut the Corsi book, the Obama regime releases a PDF image purported to be a scan of his original long-form Hawaiian birth certificate. Within hours, thousands of graphic designers, many of whom are self-professed Obama voters and supporters, isolate and demonstrate with dozens of objective proof sets that the PDF released by the Obama regime is not just a forgery, but an astoundingly incompetent and obvious forgery.
April 27 through May 2: The Obama regime is now in a blind panic. Deeming it too risky, instead of commissioning the forged birth certificate from document and photo illustration experts within the CIA or NSA, the Obama regime instead farmed the project off on someone inside the White House with a functional but middling knowledge of photo illustration programs. To the thoroughly inexpert eyes of Barack Obama, Michelle Obama and Valerie Jarrett, the forged certificate file appeared extremely convincing, and was thus released with fanfare. Within hours, they knew that they had not only made a mistake, but a massive mistake that could land them all in prison. The forger was so incompetent that he/she didn't even flatten the image thus compressing and masking the component layers before posting it. And that was just the tip of the iceberg of glaring flaws and errors. The mainstream press was, so far, completely complicit in the cover-up of the forgery, but Rathergate proved that if the forgery debunking generated any mainstream traction whatsoever, the end could come swiftly. The Obama regime needed a big distraction and they needed it fast. They had been planning on holding the staged Bin Laden capture and killing until 2012 - for the thick of the campaign, and perhaps as an "October Surprise", but it would have to be moved up to now.
May 2, 2011: The Bin Laden operation occurs. In all likelihood, a low-to-mid level Taliban or insurgent leader is killed.
May 3, 2011: Within hours, Vice President Joe Biden destroys any notions of OPSEC and bellows to the entire world in public remarks at a dinner at the Ritz Carlton that the Bin Laden raid was carried out by "the SEALS". Within hours Obama regime had gleefully leaked that the raid was carried out by "SEAL Team 6", also known as DEVGRU. Up until this point in history, all DEVGRU activities and information had been highly classified. Now the term "SEAL Team 6" was blasted across every newspaper in the world, with Disney even moving to trademark the name. The Obama regime wanted the ENTIRE WORLD to know the name "SEAL Team 6".
May 5, 2011: As I said earlier, I conversed with retired military contact with spook contacts regarding the obvious theatrics of the Bin Laden episode and the need for a cover-up by the Obama regime. The conversation ended with the following exchange: Ann: I'm on the US Military casualty email list. It would be NO PROBLEM to "hide" casualties. It's a steady stream out of Afghanistan.
Contact: look for training accidents in the eastern mountains.
May 6, 2011: Obama travels to Ft. Campbell, KY to openly "meet and congratulate" SEAL Team 6 members. This receives huge press coverage, and the press declares the incident "a huge boost [for Obama] going into 2012." Video citation here:

August 6, 2011: A Chinook helo is shot down in Tangi, Wardak Province, Afghanistan. Within hours, before family notifications could possibly have been completed, global press accounts positively confirm that 22 of the 30 Americans killed were not just SEALS, but members of SEAL Team 6. Again, DEVGRU operations have been, up until now, highly classified. Today, the Obama regime made a point of immediately revealing the unit identities of the SPECOPS forces among the dead.
In the past, DEVGRU men and other SPECOPS men have been killed in action, but their missions were so secret and so crucial to OPSEC that their deaths were covered-up by the government and attributed to such things as "training accidents" and the like - and I have no problem with that. These men understand going in to intense units such as DEVGRU that OPSEC is paramount, that they will never be publicly acknowledged for their heroism, and that if they are killed or captured in action, the government will lie about that in order to protect OPSEC and to prevent the enemy from gaining a propaganda and morale coup. Compare that reality with what happened today. The Obama regime distributed this information, and the Obama regime's lapdog press instantly splashed headlines declaring this as the Taliban's "REVENGE" for the "death of Bin Laden." As I write this now, the Drudge Report headline in bright red reads, "REVENGE: SEALS WHO GOT OSAMA KILLED IN AFGHANISTAN."
I'll say what everyone else is thinking but is too scared to say. The Obama regime is almost certainly directly complicit in these deaths. The time, location and most especially, the PASSENGERS in the Chinook were passed to the Taliban. Additionally, you can't take out a Chinook with small arms fire or even standard RPGs such as the Taliban use. The Taliban needed serious weaponry to take this helo down, and that serious weaponry needed to be in exactly the right spot at exactly the right time, ready to fire.
Why would the Obama regime kill Americans? I think the question is, why WOULDN'T the Obama regime kill Americans? The Obama regime is composed of Marxist-Leninist psychopaths. A glancing, superficial survey of 20th century history shows one glaring fact above all others: MARXISTS MURDER PEOPLE WITHOUT COMPUNCTION. Marxists also hate Americans, by definition.
Three tacks:
1. The men on board the Chinook may have been the same men who participated or had direct knowledge of the staged Bin Laden raid and were killed to permanently silence them. See my email exchange of May 5 above.
2. These DEVGRU men were killed to send a signal to the surviving DEVGRU men who carried out the Bin Laden raid to keep their mouths shut.
3. Certainly, the release of the unit identity of the dead within hours - before even family notification could have been made (which requires an IN PERSON visit to the family, remember) was an obvious bow to Al Qaeda, the Taliban and the entire muslim world. This event was INSTANTLY propagandized by the Obama media as "revenge" exacted for Bin Laden's death. And remember, Bin Laden has been dead for many years. The raid of May 2 was pure stagecraft to distract the world from the release of the forged Obama birth certificate.
I am not a conspiracy theorist. I can't stand Alex Jones or any 9/11 truther. I have turned down dozens of interviews with such types. In fact, I am a huge believer in the Lex Parsimoniae, which is sometimes called "Occam's Razor", which states that the simplest explanation is most likely the correct one. I teach this as part of my job, namely that the cattle markets are neither manipulated nor impossible to operate within at a profit. The reality is that the cattle industry participants do not make money because they are functionally incompetent. It is very, very simple. True conspiracies are very rare.

The Truth About the Super Committee's Plans as Proposed by Obama

WASHINGTON (AP) — Just as 55 million Social Security recipients are about to get their first benefit increase in three years, Congress is looking at reducing future raises by adopting a new measure of inflation that also would increase taxes for most families — the biggest impact falling on those with low incomes.

If adopted across the government, the inflation measure would have widespread ramifications. Future increases in veterans' benefits and pensions for federal workers and military personnel would be smaller. And over time, fewer people would qualify for Medicaid, Head Start, food stamps, school lunch programs and home heating assistance than under the current measure.

Taxes would go up by $60 billion over the next decade because annual adjustments to the tax brackets would be smaller, resulting in more people jumping into higher tax brackets because their wages rose faster than the new inflation measure. Annual increases in the standard deduction and personal exemptions would become smaller.

Despite fierce opposition from seniors groups, the proposal is gaining momentum in part because it would let policymakers gradually cut benefits and increase taxes in a way that might not be readily apparent to most Americans. Changes at first would be small — the Social Security increase would be cut by just a few dollars in the first year.

But the impact, as well as savings to the government, would grow over time, generating about $200 billion in the first decade and much more after that.

The proposal to adopt a new Consumer Price Index was floated by the Obama administration during deficit reduction talks in the summer. Now, it is one of the few options supported by both Democratic and Republican members of a joint supercommittee in Congress working to reduce government borrowing.

The committee of six Democrats and six Republicans is struggling to come up with a plan to reduce government red ink by at least $1.2 trillion over the next decade. Changing the inflation index alone would put them a sixth of the way there.

"I think the thought process behind this is, slip this in, people won't understand it," said Max Richtman, president and CEO of the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare.

Richtman's group is spending about $2 million on radio, TV and direct mail ads to fight cuts in Social Security and Medicare. His message to Congress: "Don't believe that taking this approach to cutting Social Security will not be noticed. You will pay for it."

A TV ad by AARP puts it this way: "We are 50 million seniors who earned our benefits, and you will be hearing from us today — and on Election Day."

The inflation measure under consideration is called the Chained Consumer Price Index, or chained CPI. On average, the measure shows a lower level of inflation than the more widely used CPI for All Urban Consumers.

Many economists argue that the chained CPI is more accurate because it assumes that as prices increase, consumers switch to lower cost alternatives, reducing the amount of inflation they experience.

For example, if the price of beef increases while the price of pork does not, people will buy more pork. Or, as opponents mockingly argue, if the price of home heating oil goes up, people will turn down their heat and wear more sweaters.

A report by the Moment of Truth Project, a group formed to promote the deficit reduction package produced by President Barack Obama's deficit commission late last year, supports a new inflation measure. "Rather than serving to raise taxes and cut benefits, switching to the chained CPI would simply be fulfilling the mission of properly adjusting for cost of living," it argues.

The new measure would reduce Social Security cost-of-living adjustments, or COLAs, by an average of 0.3 percentage points each year, according to the Social Security Administration. Next year's increase, the first since 2009, will be 3.6 percent, starting in January.

Under the chained CPI, yearly benefits for a typical 65-year-old would be about $136 less, according to an analysis of Social Security data. At age 75, annual benefits under the new index would be $560 less. At 85, the cut would be $984 a year, and at 95, the annual income loss would amount to $1,392.

"For someone in the first year, it may not seem a lot," said AARP's David Certner. "But as people get older and then they get poorer and more reliant on Social Security, the cut gradually gets larger and larger."

In all, adopting the chained CPI would reduce Social Security benefits by $112 billion over the next decade. Federal civilian and military pensions would be $24 billion lower, according to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office.

If adopted across the government, fewer people would be eligible for many anti-poverty programs because the poverty level also would increase at a lower rate each year. That would result in fewer people living below the official poverty line, despite having the same income.

The tax increases would hit low-income families the hardest, while high-income taxpayers would see smaller changes. The wealthiest taxpayers already pay taxes at the highest marginal rate, currently 35 percent.

For example, by 2021, taxpayers making between $10,000 and $20,000 would see a 14.5 percent increase in their federal taxes with a chained CPI, according to an analysis by the Joint Committee on Taxation. Taxpayers making more than $1 million would get a tax increase of 0.1 percent.

Despite the political backlash, some lawmakers see the new inflation measure as a way to help break the deadlock in Washington over tax increases and cuts in benefit programs. Most Republicans adamantly oppose tax increases, while Democrats have said they won't support benefit cuts without a substantial increase in revenue.

Rep. Xavier Becerra, a California Democrat who serves on the supercommittee, helped lead the fight over the summer against adopting the chained CPI. But in an interview last week, he wouldn't rule out supporting a package that included it.

"If you're going to simply try to save money by changing the CPI, you can do that," Becerra said. "But then be up front and tell seniors what you're doing. You're throwing them under the bus to save money."

Soros' father, Tivadar, was a fervent practitioner of the Esperanto language invented in 1887, and designed to be the first global language, free of any national identity. The Schwartz's, who were non-practicing Jews, changed the family name to Soros, in order to facilitate assimilation into the Gentile population, as the Nazis spread into Hungary during the 1930s.

When Hitler's henchman Adolf Eichmann arrived in Hungary , to oversee the murder of that country's Jews, George Soros ended up with a man whose job was confiscating property from the Jewish population. Soros went with him on his rounds.

Soros has repeatedly called 1944 "the best year of his life." 70% of Mr. Soros's fellow Jews in Hungary, nearly a half-million human beings, were annihilated in that year, yet he gives no sign that this put any damper on his elation, either at the time or indeed in retrospect" During an interview with "Sixty Minute's" Steve Kroft, Soros was asked about his "best year."

KROFT: My understanding is that you went out with this protector of yours who swore that you were his adopted godson.

SOROS: Yes. Yes.

KROFT: Went out, in fact, and helped in the confiscation of property from your fellow Jews, friends and neighbors.

SOROS: Yes. That's right. Yes.

KROFT: I mean, that sounds like an experience that would send lots of people to the psychiatric couch for many, many, years. Was it difficult?

SOROS: No, not at all. Not at all, I rather enjoyed it.

KROFT: No feelings of guilt?

SOROS: No, only feelings of absolute power.

In his article, Muravchik describes how Soros has admitted to having carried some rather "potent messianic fantasies with me from childhood, which I felt I had to control, otherwise they might get me in trouble." Be that as it may. After WWII, Soros attended the London School of Economics, where he fell under the thrall of fellow atheist and Hungarian, Karl Popper, one of his professors. Popper was a mentor to Soros until Popper's death in 1994. Two of Popper's most influential teachings concerned "the open society," and Fallibilism.

Fallibilism is the philosophical doctrine that all claims of knowledge could, in principle, be mistaken. (Then again, I could be wrong about that.) The "open society" basically refers to a "test and evaluate" approach to social engineering.. Regarding "open society" Roy Childs writes, "Since the Second World War, most of the Western democracies have followed Popper's advice about piecemeal social engineering and democratic social reform, and it has gotten them into a grand mess."

In 1956 Soros moved to New York City, where he worked on Wall Street, and started amassing his fortune. He specialized in hedge funds and currency speculation. Soros is absolutely ruthless, amoral, and clever in his business dealings, and quickly made his fortune. By the 1980s he was well on his way to becoming the global powerhouse that he is today.

In an article Kyle-Anne Shiver wrote for "The American Thinker" she says, "Soros made his first billion in 1992 by shorting the British pound with leveraged billions in financial bets, and became known as the man who broke the Bank of England . He broke it on the backs of hard-working British citizens who immediately saw their homes severely devalued and their life savings cut drastically, almost overnight."

In 1994 Soros crowed in "The New Republic ," that "the former Soviet Empire is now called the Soros Empire." The Russia-gate scandal in 1999, which almost collapsed the Russian economy, was labeled by Rep. Jim Leach, then head of the House Banking Committee, to be "one of the greatest social robberies in human history. "The "Soros Empire" indeed. In 1997 Soros almost destroyed the economies of Thailand and Malaysia . At the time, Malaysia 's Prime Minister, Mahathir Mohammad, called Soros "a villain, and a moron." Thai activist Weng Tojirakarn said, "We regard George Soros as a kind of Dracula. He sucks the blood from the people."

The website Greek National Pride reports, "Soros was part of the full court press that dismantled Yugoslavia and caused trouble in Georgia , Ukraine and Myanmar [Burma] Calling himself a philanthropist, Soros' role is to tighten the ideological stranglehold of globalization and the New World Order while promoting his own financial gain. He is without conscience; a capitalist who functions with absolute amorality."

France has upheld an earlier conviction against Soros, for felony insider trading. Soros was fined 2.9 million dollars. Recently, his native Hungary fined Soros 2.2 million dollars for "illegal market manipulation.." Elizabeth Crum writes that the Hungarian economy has been in a state of transition as the country seeks to become more financially stable and westernized. Soros deliberately driving down the share price of its largest bank put Hungary's economy into a wicked tailspin, one from which it is still trying to recover.

My point here is that Soros is a planetary parasite. His grasp, greed, and gluttony have a global reach. But what about America ? Soros told Australia 's national newspaper "The Australian." " America , as the centre of the globalised financial markets, was sucking up the savings of the world. This is now over. The game is out," he said, adding that the time has come for "a very serious adjustment" in American's consumption habits. He implied that he was the one with the power to bring this about."

Soros: "World financial crisis was "stimulating" and "in a way, the culmination of my life's work."

Obama has recently promised 10 billion of our tax dollars to Brazil , in order to give them a leg-up in expanding their offshore oil fields. Obama's largesse towards Brazil came shortly after his political financial backer, George Soros, invested heavily in Brazilian oil (Pet rob ras).

Tait Trussel writes, "The Pet rob ras loan may be a windfall for Soros and Brazil , but it is a bad deal for the U. S. The American Petroleum Institute estimates that oil exploration in the U S could create 160,000 new, well-paying jobs, as well as $1.7 trillion in revenues to federal, state, and local governments, all while fostering greater energy security and independence."

Back to America . Soros has been actively working to destroy America from the inside out for some years now. People have been warning us. Two years ago, news sources reported that "Soros [is] an extremist who wants open borders, a one-world foreign policy, legalized drugs, euthanasia, and on and on. This is off-the-chart dangerous." In 1997 Rachel Ehrenfeld wrote, "Soros uses his philanthropy to change or more accurately deconstruct the moral values and attitudes of the Western world, and particularly of the American people. His "open society" is not about freedom; it is about license. His vision rejects the notion of ordered liberty, in favor of a PROGRESSIVE ideology of rights and entitlements."

Perhaps the most important of these "whistle blowers" are David Horowitz and Richard Poe. Their book "The Shadow Party" outlines in detail how Soros hijacked the Democratic Party, and now owns it lock, stock, and barrel. Soros has been packing the Democratic Party with radicals, and ousting moderate Democrats for years. The Shadow Party became the Shadow Government, which recently became the Obama Administration.

Discover The Networks. org (another good source) writes, "By his [Soros'] own admission, he helped engineer coups in Slovakia , Croatia , Georgia , and Yugoslavia . When Soros targets a country for "regime change," he begins by creating a shadow government, a fully formed government-in-exile, ready to assume power when the opportunity arises. The Shadow Party he has built in America greatly resembles those he has created in other countries prior to instigating a coup."

November 2008 edition of the German magazine "Der Spiegel," in which Soros gives his opinion on what the next POTUS (President of the U. S.. ) should do after taking office. "I think we need a large stimulus package." Soros thought that around 600 billion would be about right. Soros also said that "I think Obama presents us a great opportunity to finally deal with global warming and energy dependence. The U. S. needs a cap and trade system with auctioning of licenses for emissions rights."

Although Soros doesn't (yet) own the Republican Party, like he does the Democrats, make no mistake, his tentacles are spread throughout the Republican Party as well.

Soros is a partner in the Carlyle Group where he has invested more than 100 million dollars. According to an article by "The Baltimore Chronicle's" Alice Cherbonnier, the Carlye Group is run by "a veritable who's who of former Republican leaders," from CIA man Frank Carlucci, to CIA head and ex-President George Bush, Sr.

In late 2006, Soros bought about 2 million shares of Halliburton, Dick Cheney's old stomping grounds. When the Democrats and Republicans held their conventions in 2000, Soros held Shadow Party conventions in the same cities, at the same time. In 2008, Soros donated $5,000,000,000 ( thatï¿½s Five Billion ) to the Democratic National Committee, DNC, to insure Obama's win and wins for many other Alinsky trained Radical Rules Anti-American Socialist. George has been contributing a $ billion plus to the DNC since Clinton came on the scene.

Soros has dirtied both sides of the aisle, trust me. And if that weren't bad enough, he has long held connections with the CIA. And I mustn't forget to mention Soros' involvement with the MSM (Main Stream Media), the entertainment industry (e. g. he owns 2.6 million shares of Time Warner), and the various political advertising organizations he funnels millions to. In short, George Soros controls or influences most of the MSM. Little wonder they ignore the TEA PARTY, Soro's NEMESIS.

As Matthew Vadum writes, "The liberal billionaire-turned-philanthropist has been buying up media properties for years in order to drive home his message to the American public that they are too materialistic, too wasteful, too selfish, and too stupid to decide for themselves how to run their own lives."

Richard Poe writes, "Soros' private philanthropy, totaling nearly $5 billion, continues undermining America 's traditional Western values. His giving has provided funding of abortion rights, atheism, drug legalization, sex education, euthanasia, feminism, gun control, globalization, mass immigration, gay marriage and other radical experiments in social engineering."

Without Soros' money, would the Saul Alinsky's Chicago machine still be rolling? Would SEIU, ACORN, and La Raza still be pursuing their nefarious activities? Would Big Money and lobbyists still be corrupting government? Would our college campuses still be retirement homes for 1960s radicals?

America stands at the brink of an abyss, and that fact is directly attributable to Soros. Soros has vigorously, cleverly, and insidiously planned the ruination of America and his puppet, Barack Obama is leading the way.

The words of Patrick Henry are apropos: "Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, almighty God! I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty, or give me death!"

The Gun Is Civilization

Human beings only have two ways to deal with one another: reason and force. If you want me to do something for you, you have a choice of either convincing me via argument, or force me to do your bidding under threat of force. Every human interaction falls into one of those two categories, without exception. Reason or force, that's it.

In a truly moral and civilized society, people exclusively interact through persuasion. Force has no place as a valid method of social interaction, and the only thing that removes force from the menu is the personal firearm, as paradoxical as it may sound to some.

When I carry a gun, you cannot deal with me by force. You have to use reason and try to persuade me, because I have a way to negate your threat or employment of force.

The gun is the only personal weapon that puts a 100-pound woman on equal footing with a 220-pound mugger, a 75-year old retiree on equal footing with a 19-year old gang banger, and a single guy on equal footing with a carload of drunk guys with baseball bats. The gun removes the disparity in physical strength, size, or numbers between a potential attacker and a defender.

There are plenty of people who consider the gun as the source of bad force equations. These are the people who think that we'd be more civilized if all guns were removed from society, because a firearm makes it easier for a [armed] mugger to do his job. That, of course, is only true if the mugger's potential victims are mostly disarmed either by choice or by legislative fiat - it has no validity when most of a mugger's potential marks are armed.

People who argue for the banning of arms ask for automatic rule by the young, the strong, and the many, and that's the exact opposite of a civilized society. A mugger, even an armed one, can only make a successful living in a society where the state has granted him a force monopoly.

Then there's the argument that the gun makes confrontations lethal that otherwise would only result in injury. This argument is fallacious in several ways. Without guns involved, confrontations are won by the physically superior party inflicting overwhelming injury on the loser.

People who think that fists, bats, sticks, or stones don't constitute lethal force watch too much TV, where people take beatings and come out of it with a bloody lip at worst. The fact that the gun makes lethal force easier works solely in favor of the weaker defender, not the stronger attacker. If both are armed, the field is level.

The gun is the only weapon that's as lethal in the hands of an octogenarian as it is in the hands of a weight lifter. It simply wouldn't work as well as a force equalizer if it wasn't both lethal and easily employable.

When I carry a gun, I don't do so because I am looking for a fight, but because I'm looking to be left alone. The gun at my side means that I cannot be forced, only persuaded. I don't carry it because I'm afraid, but because it enables me to be unafraid. It doesn't limit the actions of those who would interact with me through reason, only the actions of those who would do so by force. It removes force from the equation...
And that's why carrying a gun is a civilized act.

Who Is this Rick Perry?

He is a fifth generation Texan, the son of hardscrabble west Texas tenant farmers – Democrats at first but conservatives through and through. He grew up in a farm town too small to be on the state map. Life was so hard that he was six years old before his house had indoor plumbing. His mother sewed his clothes, including the underwear he wore to college.

He is an Eagle Scout. After Paint Creek High School , he attended Texas A&M, graduated, and was commissioned into the Air Force where he became a C-130 pilot.

Now 61 years old, he has won nine elections to four different offices in Texas state government. In the first three elections he ran as a Democrat then switched to the Republican Party. He is currently the 47th governor of Texas – a position he has held for 11 years, the longest tenure of any governor in the nation.

He has never lost an election.

Rick Perry was the Lieutenant Governor to whom Governor George Bush handed over the office after winning the 2000 Presidential election. Since then, Perry won gubernatorial elections in 2002, 2004, and 2010, the last time by 55% against a field consisting of a Democrat, a Libertarian, a Green Party, and an Independent.

Since he became its Governor, Texas – a right to work state that taxes neither personal income nor capital gains – has added more jobs than the other 49 states combined. In the last two years, low taxes and little regulation led his state to create 47% of all jobs created in the entire nation. Five of the top ten cities with the highest job growth in the nation are in Texas . People follow jobs, so in the last four years for which data are available, Texas led every state in net interstate migration growth.

Perry signed ground-breaking “loser pays” tort reform and medical litigation rules that caused malpractice insurance rates to fall. Some 20,000 doctors have since moved to Texas .

Texas boasts 58 of the Fortune 500 companies – more than any other state. Since May 2011 Texas resumed its pre-recession employment levels. Only two other states and the District of Columbia have done that.

Texas ships 16% of the nation’s export value. California trails at 11%. Of the 70 companies that have fled California so far in 2011, 14 relocated in Texas .

In this year’s Texas legislative season, Perry got most of what he wanted. With no new taxes, a fiscally lean state budget was passed leaving $6 billion in a rainy day fund even as other states around the country struggled to balance budgets and avoid more deficit borrowing. A voter ID bill passed that was designed to prevent ballot box fraud and illegal voting. A bill passed that makes plaintiffs pay court costs and attorney fees if their suits are deemed frivolous.

Perry scored points even in his legislative failures. He failed to get sanctuary cities banned – Texas towns in which police cannot question detainees about their immigration status. The blame fell on the legislature. Perry also failed to get a so-called “anti-groping” bill passed that would put Transportation Security Administration agents in prison if they touch the genitals, anus, or breasts of passengers in a pat down. Federal officials threatened to halt all flights out of Texas airports and the bill died in special session. That endeared Texans even more to TSA employees living in Texas .

Perry jogs daily in the morning. He has no bodyguard with him, but his daughter’s dog runs by his side and he carries a laser-guided automatic pistol in his belt. Last year while jogging in an undeveloped area, a coyote paralleled his jogging route, eyeing his dog. He drew his pistol and killed the animal with one shot, leaving it where it fell. “He became mulch," Perry said. Animal rights groups protested, but Perry shrugged it off. “Don’t come after my dog,” he warned them.

Recently, Obama asked Perry to delay the July 7 execution of Humberto Leal in order to comply with the International Court of Justice in The Hague and the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations. Perry refused. Therefore Obama asked the US Supreme Court to delay the execution because it would damage US foreign relations. The Court refused 5-4 and Perry ordered the execution to go forward as scheduled. Over the howls of diplomats, politicians, and the UN, Leal was administered a lethal injection at 6:20 p.m. Before he died, he admitted his guilt and asked for forgiveness.

The case has special implications for Perry, who is considering a run for the presidency in 2012. Even his critics resent federal interference in a Texas execution, which is related to a state, not a federal, crime – an alcohol and drug-fueled rape and murder 17 years ago by an illegal whose family brought him into the country 35 years ago as a child. The interference hinges not on the man’s guilt, which Leal’s advocates acknowledged, but on a technicality – failure to inform Leal that he could have gotten legal representation from the Mexican consulate in lieu of the court-appointed attorneys who represented him. Independent Texans saw Obama’s interference as another intrusion of federal power into the affairs of a state, which could cost Obama support in other states.

Needless to say, Perry is a hard-edged conservative and a ferocious defender of 10th Amendments rights (“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”) – an explicit restriction of the federal government to only those powers granted in the Constitution. Perry accuses the federal government, especially the Obama administration, of illegal overreach.

Perry said “no thanks” to the feds whose stimulus offered taxpayer dollars for education and unemployment assistance. The strings on “free money” from Washington , he said, would restrict Texas in managing its own affairs. Perry even depleted all state funds to fight recent wildfires before asking Washington for disaster relief. His request has been ignored, which comes across as an unvarnished federal power play, further pitting Perry and Texans against the federal government.

It’s little surprise, then, that 31% of Texans prefer Perry, who hasn’t announced for the presidency, versus 15% who prefer Romney and 11% who like Bachmann. This is consistent with a Fox poll which put Romney at 18% with national Republicans, Perry at 13%, and Bachmann at 11%. A Marist poll had Romney leading with 19% but Perry and Giuliani, neither of whom has announced, are tied for second at 13%. Perry is the favorite among Tea Party voters, beating Palin, also unannounced, and Bachmann. For a guy who is not officially running, Perry has more than an insignificant following compared with the announced candidates.

But none of the candidates – announced and unannounced – has caught fire. It’s still early in the 2012 election cycle, and polling results this far out border on meaninglessness. Yet I would have expected Romney to have a greater lead, given his money and name recognition, unless he is being perceived by voters as a nomination retread, now haunted by the Massachusetts experiment that Obama claims inspired his unpopular remaking of the national healthcare system. His business and economic expertise towers over Obama’s, but I suspect it would be easier for him to be elected than nominated. Palin has a fan base rather than a constituency ready to hand another rookie the keys to the White House. Bachmann, recently insulted by Chris Matthews in an interview asking if she was a “flake” because of her bizarre statements, might keep in mind that James Garfield was the only House member to be elected President – and that was over 130 years ago. Ryan may have recalled that fact when he declined to run.

But Perry is not without his negatives. French cuffs and cowboy boots adorned with the words “Freedom” and “ Liberty ” bespeak a self-assuredness that wears well in Texas and even in the south and southwest, but will it work in Philadelphia , New Hampshire , and Ohio ?

Perry is ruggedly handsome – a modern Marlboro kind of man – whom the late Texan and liberal columnist, Molly Ivins, called "Governor Goodhair.” His high octane rhetoric is unmistakably conservative. Speaking to the Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans last month, he pumped the air with both fists as he strode to the podium. “Whew!’ he cried repeatedly. “Yeah!” He was like an excited race horse being shoved into a starting gate.

I stand before you today a disciplined conservative Texan -- a committed Republican and a proud American -- united with you in the desire to restore our nation and revive the American dream…

Our party cannot be all things to all people. It can't be. And our loudest opponents on the left are never gonna’ like us so let's quit trying to curry favor with 'em! … Let's speak with pride about our morals and our values and redouble our effort to elect more conservative Republicans. Let's stop this American downward spiral! …

This administration in Washington that's in power now clearly believes that government is not only the answer to every need, but it's the most qualified to make essential decisions for every American in every area. That mix of arrogance and audacity that guides the Obama administration is an affront to every freedom-loving American and a threat to every private sector job in this country.
He left the podium and stage as he had mounted it: pumping his fists, shouting “Yeah!” and “Whew!” as if he were returning to his corner after Round 1 of a prize fight.

It’s hard to imagine the cautiously moderate Romney, the bland somnambulistic Pawlenty, or even the outspoken and misspoken Bachmann delivering that performance. Yet, what a contrast Perry is to the pontifical, condescending Obama speaking style, his head robotically swiveling from side to side, nose unconsciously elevated. I suspect even the leading GOP candidates wish they had Perry’s “negatives.”

Perry’s speech was a tea partier’s delight. The almost cocky swagger. The Texas accent. But I wonder how it would sell to political independents – those more pragmatic than ideological?

Sweeping these concerns aside, Perry’s biggest challenge may be overcoming the fact that he is “another” Texas governor seeking the White House. After four years of Obama, Bush fatigue may have attenuated. But by how much? For those in the center – the ones who will decide the next election – the choice will be between four more years of someone they know (which they didn’t four years ago) versus someone who reminds them of someone they know (Bush) and wish they didn’t.

Beyond the Texas Governor’s mansion, the accent, and the swagger, however, the similarity ends. Their differences have been no small source of friction between the Bush and Perry camps.

A 2007 YouTube, for example, showed Perry at a fundraiser saying, “George Bush was never a fiscal conservative – never was,” going on to say, “I mean, ’95, ’97, ’99, George Bush (while he was Texas Governor) was spending money.” The video came to the attention of Bush aides and they were not happy with Perry’s criticisms of their man.

Then after initially embracing Bush’s “No Child Left Behind” law, Perry turned against it, calling it “a monstrous intrusion into our (i.e. the Texas education system) affairs” in an interview. His 10th Amendment fire-breathing can’t be contained.

When Perry ran for his third gubernatorial election, the Bush family and political team retaliated by backing Perry’s Republican opponent, Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchinson, providing her campaign with fundraising and organizational support. Perry won the primary and went on to win in the general election by a sizable margin, no doubt giving him cause to gloat and giving the Bush camp cause to mope.

The relationship between Perry and Bush continues to be frosty. But it would be foolish for Perry to provoke the Bush family into working against him if he chooses to run for President. And it would also be petty of the Bush family to deny that politics requires a candidate to show that he is his own man, not a clone of his former boss. Gore ran against Clinton in 2000, and if Perry runs, he will have to show his independence of Bush if he is to have any hope of shedding the “Oh no, not another Texas Governor” image.

Bush ran as a “compassionate conservative,” probably a euphemism for the liberalism of his rich family, which is what caused Reagan to balance his conservative ticket with running mate George H. W. Bush. Perry will have to show that he intends to reverse the reckless spending of the Bush-Obama years.

Bush ran as a “uniter, not a divider.” Perry will have to show that he intends to be an unmistakable contrast to everything Obama stands for and will undo the Obama program, even as Clinton undid the Reagan legacy and Obama undid the Bush programs, complaining all the while that Bush was responsible for everything that was wrong with America .

Perry has not yet said he is in the race. Time is running out for him to do so. But should Obama be concerned if Perry runs? Absolutely. Obama cannot run on his record – an unpopular healthcare law, a failed stimulus, unprecedented spending and debt, a jobless “recovery” and the threat of a double-dip recession, not to mention a foreign policy he can’t explain and his undeclared war on Libya . Obama’s record is a disaster. Perry by contrast produced in Texas an oasis of prosperity in a sea of misery during the Obama years.

Not being able to defend his own economic record, or attack Perry's, Obama might try to paint Perry as a representative of the far right. That wouldn't be easy. Perry served three terms in the Texas House as a Democrat, and supported Al Gore's 1988 presidential bid. That was when there were still some conservative Democrats. Perry switched to the Republican Party in 1989 when the Democrat Party began moving left.

Obama might attack Perry’s ideological extremism. But Perry could remind voters that Reagan was initially painted as a conservative extremist, until Reagan’s folksy “Now there you go again” confidence showed Americans that the extremist was in the White House. Reagan’s proof was the economic chaos Carter had wrought (“Are you better off now than you were four years ago?”) and the foreign policy catastrophes his policies produced in Iran , whose hostage crisis was nearing 400 days.

Remember, not only did you contribute to Social Security but your employer did too. It totaled 15% of your income before taxes. If you averaged only 30K over your working life, that’s close to $220,500. If you calculate the future value of $4,500 per year (yours & your employer’s contribution) at a simple 5% (less than what the govt. Pays on the money that it borrows), after 49 years of working (me) you’d have $892,919.98. If you took out only 3% per year, you receive $26,787.60 per year and it would last better than 30 years, and that’s with no interest paid on that final amount on deposit! If you bought an annuity and it paid 4% per year, you’d have a lifetime income of $2,976.40 per month. The folks in Washington have pulled off a bigger Ponzi scheme than Bernie Madhoff ever had.

1- Calif 's 20 Billion Dollar Budget Deficit
2- The Calif Supreme Court ruling that ILLEGALS can attend college and get benefits.
Why don't they just deport them when they arrive to register?
3- Last year they ran an article on the yearly costs to Calif Taxpayers from Illegal’s using Hospital Emergency Rooms for their general health care - At just one hospital the cost to tax payers totaled over 25 million a year!!!

Someone please tell me what the HELL's wrong with all the people that run this country!!!!!!
We're "broke" & can't help our own Seniors, Veterans, Orphans, Homeless etc.,???????????
In the last months we have provided aid to Haiti, Chile, and Turkey. And now Pakistan, home of bin Laden. Literally, BILLIONS of DOLLARS!!!
Our retired seniors living on a 'fixed income' receive no aid nor do they get any breaks while our government and religious organizations pour Hundreds of Billions of $$$$$$'s and Tons of Food to Foreign Countries!
They call Social Security and Medicare an entitlement even though most of us have been paying for it all our working lives and now when its time for us to collect, the government is running out of money. Why did the government borrow from it in the first place?

We have hundreds of adoptable children who are shoved aside to make room for the adoption of foreign orphans. AMERICA: a country where we have homeless without shelter, children going to bed hungry, elderly going without 'needed' meds, and mentally ill without treatment -etc,etc.
YET......................
They have a 'Benefit' for the people of Haiti on 12 TV stations, ships and planes lining up with food, water, tents clothes, bedding, doctors and medical supplies.
Imagine if the *GOVERNMENT* gave 'US' the same support they give to other countries.

545 vs. 300,000,000 People

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget. The President does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing. I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash. The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits. The President can only propose a budget. He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and approving appropriations and taxes. Who is the speaker of the House? John Boehner. He is the leader of the majority party. He and fellow House members, not the President, can approve any budget they want. If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts -- of incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red.

If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it's because they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan ...

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it that way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees...

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning the last Presidential election:

Number of States won by: Obama: 19, McCain: 29

Square miles of land won by: Obama: 580,000 & McCain: 2,427,000

Population of counties won by: Obama: 127 million. McCain: 143 million.

Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Obama: 13.2 & McCain: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory McCain won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.

Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..."

Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.

If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal's - and they vote - then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

Taxation Without Representation

You're probably wondering why you haven't heard from me in a month. So much has been going on in the World and so much to digest. Currently our government is in turmoil and a great battle to stop creeping Marxist Socialism and complete collapse of our economy due to unbridled spending by our current poser in chief. For most of us we feel we have no representation in the white house.

I have been pondering for the last month what I wanted to talk about. To Share. What has become important to me and my family.

I came to the conclusion that the most important thing is the willingness to give up perceived security to fight for preserving our freedom and American way of life.

We have been covertly taxed and outright robbed to help keep career politicians in office with lifetime benefits paid for by us to create laws,regulations and more taxes to bankrupt us and our country. How stupid are we? It is time we take back our paychecks and full responsibility for ourselves and our families. No more representatives with no more intelligence than a bag of hammers determining where our money can best be spent and how much we get to keep.

Here's an old term. Self determination. It is a concept that so many immigrants made sacrifices to come here for and used to make something of themselves. The ability to determine your own future by the sweat of your brow.

Americans have discovered that those perceived safety nets they thought they paid into all these years are nothing but a scam to con you into willing giving up more of your paycheck to line the pockets of politicians and these days nothing more than carpetbaggers with your hard earned money.

During LBJ's administration the boomer Social Security surplus was placed into the general funds used primarily to pay off re-election votes with pork projects. This action was warned about by even Social Marxist FDR.

Now we have found out that America has been borrowing money to stay a float and over printing money reducing the value of the dollar so low that third world countries no longer see the dollar as stable enough to use as the currency of trade when buying oil. Since when do we borrow when we don't need to start any of these unnecessary government departments and social programs that are ineffectual and are redundant to state programs. Since when does the Federal Government do what is the State's job.

It is time to stop this now run a way train to socialism and economic collapse and take back our country and stop delegating our responsibilities. Write,call,email your representatives of any party that you do not want to continue raising the credit limit of American's credit card to enable them to go on out of control spending. Like a teenager away at college with mom and dad's credit card for emergencies only we can not and will not tolerate DC spending away our old age monies and the inheritances we planned on leaving our children. If they wish to live the high life let them go out and start a business or get a job. Enough is Enough. And they will honor the folks on Social Security and Medicaid and the Vets and the costs of defending this country the promises they made and people in good faith invested in for the betterment of Americans. Anything else will go out the door including Obamacare.

And if Obama continues to be an arrogant stumbling block go forward with impeachment based on eligibility fraud and lock him up in the federal pen and throw away the key. Clear the house of his co conspirators as well if they continue being stumbling blocks.

Lets reestablish our country back on a firm foundation of smaller government. Less regulation and social programs and improved civil defence and then maybe we will have a government that truly represents.

Rachel Maddow Says the Republican Party has Diversity

I was watching the Rachel the other day. Yes I watch Rachel. Broke another stereotype didn't I for you?.... And she laughed that the Republican Party had diverse points of view within the party and they needed to decide where they wanted to be. Somehow I don't think that's really the point. The problem with the Democratic Party is that they have eliminated any diversity of opinion or values. It has if anything made the Republican Party what it originally was a party of the people at large. The party has become filled with Tea Party folk, minorities, folks with diverse lifestyles and faith, disenfranchised Democrats,Liberatarians,Environmentalists,Independents you name it they are now in the party. But they do seem to have all united for one main goal and that is to unseat the current regime that wishes to eliminate the very country and idea of independence we all love and enjoy. We don't wish to be a part of the European Union or the UN or give away our resources and authority to a body of countries that hate us and want to see us fail. A true successful free Republic just makes these collection of old world countries look bad. And frankly they haven't liked it. They hate to have to ask us to bail them out financially or help them put down an invader or dictator run amuck. They don't have the resources to do it on their own. But because of our free society, our free enterprise system, our true representational government we can. Folks have come to realize that the promises made by the present administration are empty and bankrupt. They've come to realize that they have been merely a disguised trojan horse of the old world to cripple our greatest strength as a nation. Our greatest strength is our freedom.

The current admin can't defend the failure of their actions to help America because they are designed to just that cause America to fail. So they continue to ridicule the true Americans and the American Ideal and the blind sheeple that still buy into their diverson their misdirection blindly follow along like a pinball wizard in Tommy. But, it is getting more and more embarrassing for them as they sling words like Racist,Oportunist,Greedy,Corp. thugs,the Rich,birthers,truthers,etc when the party members and candidates walking by look more diverse then the shouters.

I think finally most folks are realizing that they really love this country as they see Sharia Law taking over the old world and folks that just don't fit the class structure losing their lives or living as slaves. I think many Dems are finding out that "Crazy" old Zell Miller was right.

I have confidence that the American people will see and smell the old Jackass dying in the room and step over it to board the elephant who has remembered who he is and not forgotten them or what it meets to be a Republic.

I hear a lot from folks immigrated from old world countries telling me many Americans just can't see what is coming because they have never gone through what they have. They are the most afraid. They say where will I have left to go for freedom? I think Americans are waking up and the united call has become rid capital hill of this insidious infestation and take back our home.

Yes the Republican Party is made up of a diverse group of individuals, but they do have one goal. Rid the beltway of the current adminstration and clean the house for freedom.

Remembering Mama

FRG marks five years since the loss of the greatest influence on her life and that is her Mama. After 15 long years of fighting many forms of cancer the Lord took her home and I finally understood what the followers of Christ felt when he left them.

Every mother's day and mama's birthday I always wanted to show her how much I loved her and appreciated her for choosing to be my mama. She gave me a love and appreciation for art and beauty in our world, a love of and personal relationship with God,optimism in the future and self confidence. But most importantly she gave me a burning desire to leave the world a better place than what I found it.

She never took any meeting with any stranger as chance but a divine moment ordained by God and one not to be wasted. She became a quiet listener to every lonely soul's aspirations,worries and concerns and a cheerleader to everyone's dreams. She poured out her spirit of unconditional love like a balm for a weary world. It was no surprise that even after spending her later years more homebound that she still filled the large room at the local funeral parlor with heartbroken friends and acquaintances. Not ever aware of all the lives she touched she would have been surprised.

This mother's day remember your mama. Love on her. Hold her hand and hug her. For all too soon this time will slip a way. The thing I look forward to when I am called up yonder is not only the greeting of St. Peter but getting that warm embrace like no other from that precious soul my mama.

Where's the Republican Candidate?

I looked for the two all beef special patties at CPAC and they just couldn't be found.Special sauce, sesame seed buns,cheese,pickles,onions but, where was the beef fella?

I have the distinct feeling the powers that be have the fix in for O to the bama to serve out a second term much the same way "I didn't have sexual relations with that woman sexual predator did it in the oval office " Clinton.

Just the thought of that prospect makes me ill. The powers that be do not have any idea that this wolf in sheep's clothing has his own personal agenda and it has nothing to do with what they have planned.

Repubs have all but given the election over by just not showing up. No one wants to waste the time and money going through an election that they are designed to lose. The timing is wrong and folks are not at the desperate enough stage to change horses just yet.

This seasoned party knows folks have to bleed first before they have the courage to change the change. There also has to be more time for the public to lose the "Blame Bush" venom generated by the Lefty media machine before they can run another Bush namely Jeb.

Jeb is my choice because he has the right combo of connection and moxie to bust the controllers to do what's really right for America. He has always gone his own way and yet understood the system and it's players. It is like having an insider for us regular folk on our side.

I do hope that the repubs and tea party put all their eggs on the senate win in 2012 and make a lame duck of this lame duck. At least we can neuter both the social marxist manchurian candidate OB wan to be king and the the lefty radicals agendas for turning this country into a third world controlled by the old world power brokers.

So if no one steps up, don't jump off a high building. Concentrate on the legislature in 2012 and change that rooster and his minions in the oval to a hen.

Well the lefty media has been spinning for the last week that Obama's actions over the past two has saved America from an economic disaster. They spin his approval rating is back up to 50 percent because of his tingly up a leg speech at the not so thinly veiled political rally moment at the so called memorial service complete with T shirts. I ask again how stupid do they think we are folks. The only stupid people I see are in the legislature who are buying into the idea that we who voted in conservatives to stop this train to socialism care about bipartisanship and Kumbayah moments with the Marxist Socialists in power. The best statement these new folks can make is what I would do if I was representing myself in the grand hall and that is not show up at all to give respect to a poser and pathological liar. The only reason they are talking civility is they are running scared and they are reaching for straws to hang on to the power they covet and keep rolling their agenda of taking all the money we make and stuffing it into their pockets. They care nothing for you and me. Nothing. Hawaii vacations, lavish parties with Human Rights violators tell you anything folks? The only "civil" conservatives should be showing is civil disobedience. Make no mistake this is a fight and these folks are going to try to reinvent themselves and their image but the core of these folks has not changed and neither has their agenda. Their policies,agendas and people need to go and their lies and lawbreaking need to be exposed. I ask those that we voted in to boycott the address. If you feel compelled to attend don't sit with these folks that is showing agreement with their agenda. And I ask all Americans with half a brain to boycott watching or listening to the address to send a message that we do not support this poser or his agenda and we do not believe his spin or lies along with his crocodile tears. Record job losses, bank failures, home forclosures, bankrupties and overspending on credit cards at Christmas do not indicate an economic upturn. It does not take an economist to see this message on the wall. Just look at all of the fast food joints with their new and improved dollar menus and the number of sit down restaurant chains closing their doors or coming up with 10 dollar meals. Look at the jacked up prices on groceries and fuel and property taxes. Don't waste your time listening to lies in an effort to make yourself feel a little less scared. Get off your duff and follow up on those you voted in and tell them not to show up. Don't give this poser a platform. Don't help these folks. Represent us like you promised. Stop playing their game. Job one stop the train first.

Why Does This One Issue Matter So Much?

The constant spector of doubt has followed Obama throughout his presidency. Is he a natural born citizen? Does he qualify and satisfy the basic requirements to hold the hightest office in the land. His supporters in the journalism field say surely if it were not true someone would have proved it otherwise ignoring the fact that Obama has spent millions of tax dollars on a team lawyers to prevent this issue from reaching trial and requiring him to produce an actual real original birth certificate.

A friend of mine was going on a cruise and told me he was going to make sure his passport was up to date. He told me in order to get one you had to fill out a lot of forms and supply them not only with the original birth certificate but the official papers filed with his state and it cost around 100 dollars because they also completed a background check confirming everything. HMMMM

The reason this issue is so important is how can we trust someone to hold the highest office in the land and weld that kind of power knowing they are willing to lie and deceive the American taxpayer on the smallest of requirements risking the laws , treaties and what not good bad or indifferent to be capable of being null and void when the truth comes out. This shows this person does not think the American people are too smart and not worthy of respect. It also shows that they think they are above the law of the land and they are entitled to the position without meeting the barest requirements. And I say anyone helping this person his also not a friend of America and also not worthy of holding any office.

How can we think this person really loves our country and it's peoples if they do not respect it? That is why this one issue is so important and hopefully will be finally addressed and answered in the next election.

Military Experience perferred. If not would prefer they have children and or immediate family in the military. Duties will include Commander and Chief of all National Defense Services.

Small or Large Business experience with Management or Ownership duties preferred.

Good fiscal personal history preferred. In other words no history of bankrupties,tax dodges,liens, home foreclosures etc.

College not necessary but common sense preferred.

State College experience preferred over private college.

Must provide actual birth certificate for proof of citizenship.

Must pass a lie detector test when responding to personal history questions as related to their resume.

Must pass a drug and alcohol test.

Would prefer person of strong spiritual faith attending church regularly and praying daily. I trust a leader who spends most of their time on their knees to God.

Respects the right of American Citizens to be fully armed and ready to defend themselves , their homes and their country from enemies foreign and domestic. We love and respect our police and military but there is not enough of them to protect all of us 24/7, nor could we afford to pay for that kind of security.

Must have read and understood the founding father documents.

Understands the difference between a Republic and a Marxist government.

Believes the primary job of the President is to provide national defense and nothing more.

Returns the dollar back to the Gold standard and eliminates the federal reserve board and their power over our money and economy.

Eliminates all taxes except a federal and state sales tax of no more than 10 percent on all things bought and sold except, food,RX,fuel,housing and materials for resell. Any raising of send taxes would go to a public vote with a specific need spelled out and a time limit applied.

Believes foreign aid is best left to the private sector.

Believes domestic aid should be to the elderly in need,infirm in need,widows and orphans in need. Believes in eliminating unemployment pay and thus eliminates the costs of unemployment insurance payments for business thus allowing them to hire more people.

In turn without the crutch the unemployed will be quicker to return to the working world.

Believes that America should stop being the World police and closes half of the bases around the world and takes those troops to guard our borders and provide new economies and jobs for border towns across the US.

Must be proud of America, Americans, the Military,American products,God and Country.

Member of the boy or girl scouts,4H or YMCA would be a plus.

Grew up in a secure intact family themselves preferred.

Has a real world work history in the business sector and not in government or government subsided positions.

Believes the chief and only right Americans have is the right to freedom. All other things in our world we have the freedom to pursue for ourselves.

Anne Francis Meets her Lord

It is a line drawing of the kitten with a whip Honey West as protrayed by the beloved actress Anne Francis. It is with heavy heart I have to let you know that the lovely inside and out Anne Francis has gone to be with our lord Jesus in Heaven early in this new year. Rest in Peace lovely Ms. Francis and comfort and prayers for her lovely family. Below is the official statement from her family.

January 2, 2011 Montecito, California - Born on September 16, 1930 in Ossining, NY Anne Francis passed away early this evening at the age of 80. With friends and family by her side she passed peacefully due to complications from a recent diagnosis of Pancreatic Cancer; Anne had successfully battled Lung Cancer in 2007-08. She leaves behind 2 loving daughters; Maggie and Jane, son in law Rob and grandson Brian. Anne will be greatly missed by her friends and family as well as a world of admirers. Known to many for her outstanding performances as Honey West and for her role in the Forbidden Planet; countless movies and television programs for over 70 years she leaves behind a legacy. Aside from being a pioneer for women in television Anne was also the first single woman to adopt a baby (Maggie) in 1970; a true inspiration.

The family of Anne Francis would like to express its heartfelt thanks to the devoted friends and fans who have loved and supported Anne throughout her life. We miss our beloved Mom and Grandma, but we know she is with God, and all is well. We wish you all the best on your journey through life, and, as Anne would say, “Go well”.

Make up your own gift basket. For kids you be suprized to find an array of name brand and character driven toys and videos anywhere from a dollar to 50 dollars on average with many toys in the 20 dollar range. You'll even find great seasonal items like bathrobe and slipper sets,as seen on tv items ,small appliances, gift boxes etc. And mom and dads you'll find sometimes the simplest gifts are the most pleasurable. An inexpensive basketball or football. A pack of new crayons. New cans of playdough. A soft cuddly stuffed animal. A yoyo. A retro pull toy for walking toddlers, large puzzles. Mini games like etch a sketch and battleship. And remember to use the age guidelines listed on the toys as your guide. It usually is on target. Hardware stores,Fish and Game Stores,Army Navy Stores. These are great places for the unusal gifts. Restractable key chains, brass spring clips are also great for key chains and clip on a pant loop. Flashlights, small gardening tools and seeds for the gardener in your family. Small all in one tool kits. patches and hats. Fatigue jackets etc. Swiss Army knifes etc. Great place for both the useful and the unusual. Our local Ace Hardware has a great little gift section.

Kraft and Art stores. Budding Artist in your family? You'll find inexpensive student art kits, doll house items, picture frames, decorator items, scrapbook items,small plastic animals, and all manner of neat stuff that can make great gifts at a bargin, blank t shirts, leather kits.

Auto parts stores. Kids toys and trucks with company logos, keychains, steering wheel and seat covers. decals. Fancy pocket tire pressure testers. etc.

Christian Book stores. Often have great gift areas as well as books and dvds.

The Local Animal Shelter. What better way to save a pet and give a companion and pet to you child or friend or relative. Make sure you are giving a pet to someone who wants one and pick the right breed and type for location and person. Throw in some food and supplies .

Local zoos or museum gift stores.

Large hospital gift shops. Hospitals with maternity centers often have great baby gifts.

Gift tips

Fruit or nut trees in your yard, have a garden consider putting together some a vege fruit or nut bag for your family and friends.

Golden Tickets for babysitting,transportation to a christmas church service or production, hated jobs like car washing and waxing,house cleaning,window washing,laundry and ironing, home cooked meal, a homemade cake or cookies or fudge.

And how about a low cost movie night on Redbox or any other kiosk style movie box? Pop some popcorn and make some snacks and watch a dollar movie. Don't have a player? Check out your local hazardous waste disposal site for decks that may have been dumped from people upgrading to blueray. Many sites have recycle centers for just that purpose. Consider treating someone to dinner or breakfast, a tank of gas, phone minutes to call far off friends or relatives, a book of their choice through a bookseller like amazon or barnes and noble etc,a movie at the local franchise,or clothing they won't have to exchange from one of their favorite stores, a pizza, downloadable music. If you have a special skill consider gifting that skill. Are you a Hairdresser, own a laundry,a carpenter,artist, crafter, organizer,good at hanging curtains etc.

Remember the word barter. Even in discount stores bartering is possible with the store managers. Overstock is not something stores want for inventory and inventory taxes. Learn the art of the barter ask for discounts on the discounts.

Don't forget to sent flowers. Always a nice way to say Happy Holidays to those you love.

How Bad Would It Be if the Government Goes Bankrupt?

The Obama admin has been using lies and fear tactics to manipulate the American public into actions that only in the end will cut their freedoms, create more governmental control of every cent we earn and manage every aspect of our lives resulting in a bloated government consuming our labor.

Would it be so bad if the government went bankrupt and closed down? Think of the government jobs that would become private industry again, think of all men and women training themselves to use a gun and defend their own property like minute men of the past, think of being able to keep every penny you make to be able to help your old folks, home school your kids, built a home and really own it after you payed for it instead of worrying about property taxes or death taxes for your loved ones. Think about the number of people who have stayed on unemployment rather than creating their own employment motivated to get off the dole and get buzy. Think of the renewed healthcare free from government restrictions and paperwork. Think of the farmers allowed to plant heirloom seed instead of genetically altered seed. Would it really be so bad? Or, would it be a return to that era of freedom that was first created by a few good men willing to give everything they had to get out from under the shackles of Britain's slavery?

I don't know about you, but I am willing to give up my illusion of status quo for what's behind that door of uncertainty. What is certain to come if we continue down the Obama path is destruction of what made America the only country the world's downtrodden wanted to come to no matter the sacrifice. If the Government shuts down I don't think America will shrivel up and die. I think after the fire the forest will bloom again and be reborn from the ashes. We need to stop listening to them tell us we aren't smart enough to handle our money in our own best interests and we don't need a bunch of elitist ivy league academians who have never held a real job or managed a business manage our money for us. The government can shut down and I will be there to lock the doors and sell off the property. Disney could buy it and turn it into a historic theme park. Bring all of our soldiers home, close all the foreign bases and sell those properties and hire our men and woman to defend and protect our borders and process illegals. Our best and brightest should be here my friend not defending countries that in the end wish to destroy us. And how about calling in the debt for rebuilding the old world after WWII? I think that would more than cover our debt to China and Japan.

I always remember the old saying less is more. If the government closed down tomorrow, I think we would be able to more than survive.

Jim DeMint is the purest Conservative we have in the Senate, and perhaps in all of Congress. It's difficult to believe that Mitch McConnell and John Boehner would support this mess... tom

Dear Fellow Conservatives:

Many of you have contacted me about the bipartisan tax deal reached between President Obama and Republican leaders. I've carefully reviewed the legislation and I wanted to explain to you why I cannot support it.

First, I do not want to see anyone's taxes go up and I have been fighting for years to permanently extend all the tax rates. I disagree with the President that we cannot afford to extend these rates for everyone. It's the people's money and we should not raise taxes on hardworking American families.

But this bill does much more than simply extend tax rates.

For starters, it includes approximately $200 billion in new deficit spending and stimulus gimmicks. That's a lot of money that will have to be borrowed from China and repaid by our children and grandchildren. If we're going to increase spending on new programs, we must reduce other spending to pay for it.

The bill also only extends rates for two years. We don't have a temporary economy so we shouldn't have temporary tax rates. Individuals and businesses make decisions looking at the long-term and we're not going to create jobs without giving people certainty as to what their taxes will be in future.

The bill also fails to extend all of the tax rates. It actually increases the death tax from its current rate of zero percent all the way up to 35 percent. One economic study shows that this tax increase alone will kill over 800,000 jobs over the next ten years.

Finally, the bill now includes dozens of earmarks for special interests, including ethanol subsidies, tax breaks for film and television producers, give away's for Puerto Rican rum manufacturers, favors for auto racing track owners, and a hand out for businesses in American Samoa.

The President called Republicans "hostage takers" this week but he should be pointing his figure squarely at himself. We've known for years that these tax rates were going to expire but he did nothing about it until the last minute. Now Americans are being told they have to accept hundreds of billions in new spending and stimulus gimmicks, an increase the death tax, and a bunch of unnecessary earmarks or their taxes will go up.

I'm not going to be bullied into voting for things that will hurt our country because politicians in Washington ignored the problem until it was a crisis.

Many of you fought hard to elect new leaders to the Senate this year with the expectation that they would fight deficit spending, tax hikes, and backroom deals. I take that commitment very seriously and I'm prepared to vote against this bill even if I'm the only one in the Senate to do so.

I appreciate the efforts made by my party's leaders to negotiate this deal but I believe Americans deserve much better. This deal should be rejected and then fixed. We can easily extend these tax rates without increasing spending once the new crop of Republican senators, including Pat Toomey, Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, Mike Lee, and Ron Johnson, are sworn in. The President has already conceded that taxes cannot go up and we'll have more Republicans in Congress in a few weeks to fight for a better deal.

Is Spreading Democracy Costing our Freedom?

I am known for being a great supporter of our military men and women in uniform. I still am. Military service is a part of my family and I still have members of my family currently serving.

What I have begun asking these days is while our family members are out risking life and limb for others it seems our very freedom here in our country is being quickly eroded away and I fear when our family members return home they will not find any freedom.

For the last 100 years or so we have not as a country become imperialists as liberals like to paint us, but we have become the world police. I began doing a little research into exactly how many bases we have outside the US and I was completely shocked at the numbers. Don't get me wrong, I understand it is better to fight the enemy abroad rather than on our shores and keeping your friends close and your enemies closer, but it seems to me we have gotten ourselves into a bloated situation of commitment of money and troops abroad while leaving the hen house vulnerable to the foxes.

I have said before we need to circle our wagons and bring our troops home to guard our borders against foreign invaders, illegal immigration, drug trafficing and airport security. By bringing all these troops home we will recreate the economies of dead cities and truely create jobs. It would also result in lowering military and state costs. The border states and port states have been begging for help for quite some time now.

I'd like you to read this very comprehensive article written a few years ago about the number of bases we have around the world. And I would like you do your own research on this topic and then consider informing your legislators on the subject.

Buy American: "Marxism or Survival?"

In 1933 FDR signed the Buy American Act which required the United States government to prefer American made products in its purchases. Other pieces of Federal legislation extend similar requirements to third-party purchases that utilize Federal funds, such as highway and transit programs. The President can wave this act if equal trade is involved with a foreign supplier. Under the 1979 General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) Government Procurement Code, the U.S.-Israel Free Trade Agreement, the U.S.-Canada Free Trade Agreement, and the World Trade Organization (WTO) 1996 Agreement on Government Procurement (GPA), the United States provides access to the government procurement of certain U.S. agencies for goods from the other parties to the agreements.

Buy American is a program that had it's roots in Union protectionism. By making Made in America a patriotic act union jobs were protected. For some campaigns it even bordered on racism. Growing up I heard more than one WWII generation senior say they would never buy a "Jap rice burner" or a "Kraut VW car". To them buying a foreign car was buying from the enemy and thus disrespecting the memories of those American's that fought and died for freedom and the memories of those Jews who provided slave labor to German Companies and then were killed.

Today conservatives and even progressives are still for freetrade and see the global market place as a good thing for Americans and an incentive for less efficient and competative American companies to work better and thus create stronger businesses. Selling plateforms like the internet through sources like EBay and Craig's List have become boom sources for small companies restricted to their geographic area to be able to cheaply reach a global marketplace and has been a good thing for American small retail businesses. Dollar store chains carrying mostly cheap import goods have made more than one American a millionaire and at the same time provide goods at lower prices for cash strapped Americans. These dollar stores have been so successful that many standard retail outlets have dollar item aisles and sales islands within their stores.

Over the years I have seen the consumers change with this access to cheap import goods. Product loyalty and business loyalty has gone out the window completely. I remember when discount retail outlets got into the car repair and tire and battery business and I witnessed loyal customers leave our small hometown service station to go get discount work at cut rate prices. Then I saw these same people complain that when they were out traveling and they broke down they could not find a service station anywhere and they had to wait hours and hours for a tow. I watched consumers stop going to the small appliance stores to go to the big hardware stores to buy frigs and washers and dryers and than complain when they could not get anyone to fix the thing after they got it home. Americans in their effort to afford more things have Pogoed themselves into a third world existance to save a dollar and in turned killed their own opportunity for employment at a living wage. American Small Business was the source for quality goods, quality service, fair prices and fair hiring practices. Unions were also a part of this demise. Ford Motor company prior to the unions offered it's people 5 day work weeks, insurance, paid holidays and weekends and many of the good business practices the unions claim they don't offer. Union thugs used organized crime tactics to force unions on workers who were just not interested.

My feelings for the effects of freetrade and unions has changed dramatically over the years. I now see that freetrade is a form of protectionism and unions are more of that same protectionism that has degraded our way of life rather than enhanced it for the most part. Don't get me wrong I am still for freetrade if and only if it is a two way street. For decades our international trade has been one sided. I don't believe in union protectionism, however I do think imports should be taxed 10 precent unless those countries agree to import equal amounts of goods and services from the US. I do believe we as Americans should commit to spending a little more and doing with a little less to buy American Made products. The best way to cripple an economic thug is to deny our trade dollars. We are through our imports financing Marxist countries that practice human rights violations against their and our citizens through military and terrorists acts. And quite frankly the more we learn about the lead paint, mold and food born illness problems we are having with imported goods I would think it would be a great deal healthier to buy American Made. On my twitter page I often try to bring to light great American Companies that offer superior products that I have personally tried and enjoyed. I think it's important.

The other day I had to go and purchase a new American Flag because someone ran off with the flag pole and all. I went to the Walmart up the street from my house and looked at the flags they had for sale. It said Made with American materials by Americans in America. I picked it up. About 15 dollars. I went to a discount hardware store to pick up some stuff and looked at similar flags and they were made in China and were about 10 dollars. I was glad I had paid about 5 dollars more for the made in America flag.

I feel much like the WWII seniors now. Defeat the enemy by not being an enemy of American Business. Support America buy American. I also support as many small businesses in my community as I can going a little out of my way to buy from them what I might get at a large discount store. I think Consumers can send a message and it can change our country. It's those dollars we spend every day that are like tiny little votes for American Businessman. Make an effort to support American businesses, tell the large chains you would prefer they buy American made supplies and materials. Trade with the small independent shops in your area. Cast your greenback votes for Americans.

The Real Hard Choices

The current administration has constantly bragged they are making the hard choices. I disagree. They have been making the wrong choices and choices that have failed the world over. Europe and America are in an engineered economic spiral created by Obama and his fellow social marxists intent on reducing the former leaders in economic prosperity to third world countries with indentured servants rather than producers. Fortunately much of America's citizens have come to their senses and have seen the emperor has no cloths and have elected and injected some fresh blood into the system. While Obama continues to pilfer the public's pockets on his world vacation tour (Why would Asia do business with us when they already make and produce everything they need?). Our newly elected officials have to drag kicking and screaming the marxists still in office back from edge of the cliff. And to the few Dems clinging to their jobs after the obama tour just say no to Pelosi as minority leader if you want to keep your job. It's a shame her fellow citizens didn't see the light and kick her to the curb.

The real hard choices begin.

1. Facing the reality you can't get blood out of stone or taxes from the unemployed by taxing the employer.

2. Facing the reality that we can't afford obama care and we don't want government controlling our medical dollars. What we do want is government to stop overregulating the medical comunity to the point it makes it cost prohibitive to do business. Cut the paperwork,amend compensation for malpractice to reasonable. Single bills for single issues that involve reducing government regulations and strangulation of the medical field and insurance companies.

3. Face the reality that the marketplace needs to be the measure of a company. No more bail outs. No more farm subsidies. No more gov take overs of corp. Thatcher did this in England.

4. Term limits and job limits for all federal offices to return government to the world of public service and not a career field.

5. End lifetime benefits and pensions for all government workers.

6. Any legislator or president making over 250,000 a year will receive no salary, no benefits and no free airplane rides.

7. With today's technology teleconferencing will be the preferred mode for legislator's debates and votes. The only time they need to be in Washington is to be sworn in. We will also end world travel for Presidents as well. No reason for it. We do not need to impress anyone.

8. Presidents will have to seek aproval for all travel from the legislature and expenses made pubic record.

9. Any redundant offices will be eliminated. Legislators will not maintain Washington offices.
There will be meeting rooms that can be signed up for when Legislators are in Washington for swearing in ceremonies and functions.

10. No more free cars,parking,limos or planes. They get a tram pass in dc.

11. All federal offices will be closed save national defense and the IRS as we transition to a national 10 percent sales tax and eliminate income tax and all other taxes nationwide. All property taxes will be eliminated so that when someone has paid off their home or land they truely own it. This is not England. That is why we fought the Revolutionary War. States may have a sales tax of no more than 10 percent. Any tax increase at the State or Federal level has to come up for a public vote and have a specific purpose and time length. Food,RX,Fuel and housing are tax exempt. Charities and materials used for manufacture or resale are also tax exempt. All imported products will have a 10 percent import tax.

12. Defence of our own borders will be number one priority and all troops will be recalled to perform this task untill done before we assist other countries in their security again. The flow of illegal drugs and persons will be stopped and a temporary moratorium will be placed on any further new citizens.

13. All illegal aliens will be identified,background checked and if proof of employment and sponsor is provided will be allowed to remain as long as citizenship is completed. Anyone with record of illegal activities will be deported immediately.

14. Every one wishing to be president of the United States must provide a original birth certificate as proof of legal citizenship.

15. Every one wishing to be president of the United States must have served at least two years in the Military.

16. The savings from all streamlining of government will be collected and used to pay off all obligations to Social Security participants and Social Security will end. Welfare will end. Unemployment will end. Any other money made from selling closed government buildings and office equipment and the like will be used to pay off the trillion high debt. Once the debt is paid any other money will be evenly distributed to each American Citizen. The American dollar will return to the gold standard and the Federal Reserve will be closed.

17. There will be no taxes on gifts,inheritances,lotteries,savings,investments,stocks and bonds.

18. Make math and money management a big part of High School curiculums.

19. Eliminate all foreign country hand outs. Leave this to the private sector at the disgression of the public.

20. Eliminate all unions from the United States. Again just another corrupt marxist middleman to your money.

21 We will do no further business with foreign countries if the exchange of trade does not equal 50/50. If we want to cripple our enemies all we need to do is stop financing them with our trade.

22. We will develop all oil reserves and build refineries enough to be totally fuel independent. Thus increasing jobs, lowering domestic fuel costs and improving domestic auto sales.

By eliminating all but sales tax everyone pays based on the ability to spend. By returning all of our troops to home we reduce the costs of national defense. By defederalizing what should be local concerns under local control we reduce federal government costs and government conflict and redundancy. By forcing legislators to live and work in their communities makes them directly accountable and less costly. By eliminating all but sales tax, businesses will grow and people will have more money to spend and save and thus have no need for government hand outs. Why do we continue to go through a middle man with our own income?

Republicans who have been voted in listen up. You have not be placed in DC to play their game. You have not been placed there to negotiate with half wit intellectual academians with no grasp of real world economics. You have been placed there to stop them and clean up all their messes and nothing more. Be the man, be the boss we have your back....

The poster boy for why pot should not be legalized in California. I would say probably about 99 percent of Cali's urban population smokes pot. And anyone over 50 has smoked pot or is now smoking pot. And probably about 80 percent of those folks have tried harder drugs at some time in their lives. Why do I say this? Because you would have to be high and or wealthy from selling drugs to elect the brain trust they have running their local and state governments. Even their beloved poser and chief BO went on to cocaine.

This prop currently before the voters has been created by the local bought and paid for drug cartel controlled politicos. The cartels know that pot is the entrance drug for most to their most profitable harder drugs. Legalizing pot would encourage those afraid of the popo to buy pot and lead users to the harder drugs they sell. Taxes....we don't pay no stinking taxes. The Calis are being conned into thinking this would allow them to dig themselves out of their fiscal nightmare through taxing the stuff. Think again my high friend. That ain't going to happen. If anything your taxes will go higher to support increased law enforcement to handle the increase in crime,traffic accidents etc.

As I have asked my twitter pals if you wouldn't want a surgeon on booze operating on you, or a mechanic with one to many beer working on your brakes why would you want a pot head either? Doesn't make good sense.

I grew up in Florida where buying pot was as easy as getting a gal of milk. 99 percent of my crew smoked pot, 100 percent went on to harder drugs. It ruined their lives in one form or another. It is an entrance drug to a world of addictions. Drug use is 99 percent the cause of all violent crimes in the state of Florida. Is this what you really want? 10/2 Ed Union Socialist Rally

What if they paid people to attend a rally and nobody came. This was the case yesterday at the Ed Rally. This aerial taken at the peak of the rally because the front audience group at the Lincoln memorial was still full. By 2:30PM many had lost interest and left I presume to take avantage of the free trip to tour DC. By the end of the show at 4:40PM when they brought in the funk with Grover Cleveland dressed in military and camo garb (poor taste) the people had all but left. The crowds were a mix of every trade union known in the US,various Marxist socialist groups,Dem party activist groups, and a few DC unemployed. Not a racially mixed group as well. The bulk of those attending were African American. The few caucasians in the group were primarily on the stage as organizers,radio talk hosts and union leaders. A sprinkling of racist Hispanics showed up from La Raza to promote their agenda of harboring law breaking illegals and ethnically cleansing America of Europeans and African Americans. Ironic yes?

SEIU as other unions were well represented.

The organizers of this Dog and Pony show dug up a native american descent former comic writer from the Rozanne Show to represent native americans. And they killed two minorities at once with an asia gay man that went over like a lead balloon wth the primarily african american audience. (Homosexuality still very taboo in the African American and Hispanic communities.)

When you compare the aerial of the Ed Rally at the top of this article with the Restoring America rally above this paragraph there is an obvious observation that can be made. Even if they pay people to follow the left they will not follow for long. The real patriot, the real citizen of America will show up to fight for freedom anytime,anyplace and the far left had better be prepared to live in a free country or catch a flight to Cuba.

Over all the rally seemed to be nothing more than a union rally and a disorganized one at that for a group of seasoned community organizers. It was a pathetic display of despiration of elitist thugs sucking off the tit of hard working Americans knowing their gravey train is about to end. I hope this event served as an education for the public and the liberal press that they shouldn't hook their wagon to this disfunctional bloodsucking star.

Never Forget

Four years ago the daughter of police officer Moira Smith who was killed on 9-11, Patricia Smith, held the hand of her father James Smith on stage during the reading of names of victims of 9-11 during ceremonies at Ground Zero September 11, 2006 in New York City. The day marked the fifth anniversary of the hijacked plane attacks that killed almost 3,000 people in New York City, Washington and Pennsylvania.

There are people in the media who have asked if Americans will ever "Get Over This." Like the victims of Pearl Harbor I can honestly say no, no America will never "Get Over This" because it's not just about the heartlessness of this attack , but the real loss to Americans of their mothers,fathers,sons and daughters,best friends,relatives and especially that real sense of safety we always felt we had here in this country. On September 11th all Americans will mourn and never forget who and what died that day. And on that day every year we will resolve to NEVER let that happen again especially when we see the faces of those left behind like Patricia Smith. Believe that.

How Different Are We?

I wanted to share we you all a personal experience while visiting DC for the first time in my life. I was on a business trip with a co worker who I count as a good friend and kindred spirit. He had worked for 4 days to get us a flight out of town during a multiple hurricane weather jag. When we finally arrived in DC we had just two days of the 5 day training we were booked for and it was a bummer. I was determined to honor his hard work by getting us at least one sight seeing tour of DC.

I knew from my tour book they had night tours and we had one free night. It ended up being a trial to get on the bus but we made it and it ended up being one great tour and I reccommend anyone to take a night tour. It is much more meaningful.

The thing I want to share with you is about the time we spent at the Lincoln Memorial. In my family Lincoln is akin to Moses is to the Jews. We have an old newspaper somewhere saved by my family from the time of Lincoln's murder and death. I was in ah of the monument. The other person revered in our household is Dr. King. I immediately made my way for where I knew he stood. I remember the speech on TV. I was 4 years old and it is one of the few memories of my early childhood I remember. I remember the grownups being very serious and hushing us as they watched this man speak hanging on his every word.

There was a large group of children looking for the spot Dr. King stood and having trouble. It was pitch black that evening on the platform and you couldn't see your hand let alone the engraved stone marking the spot. I could hear by the voices the children were of all nationalities. I pulled out my flashlight and shown the light on the stone and motioned for the kids to come over and together we all looked at the stone.I told them what I could remember and then what I remembered when Dr. King lost his life for the cause of Civil Rights. I remember my dad and me singing together the old folk tune Anybody Here." We all looked out to the distant lit Washington memorial and the reflecting pond and wondered what it must have been like to stand up there speaking or be out there listening in the audience. I turned my light out and I thought in this complete darkness we all look the same.

Education Reform that Works

In my hometown education is a huge issue. Low graduation rates amongst our public school students are a huge concern along with the increased needs of mainstreaming and immigration of non english speaking students. We are a no left behind state with strict yearly state testing of all students, smaller class size initiatives, strict school voucher programs, quality subsidized school lunch programs, large home school and church school programs as well as state support home school support initiatives, neighboorhood schools, charter schools,fundamental schools and public school choice programs. And yet, in the public school area we still have schools that receive an F and we are constantly told the school budgets are cut to the max and they need more teachers and that some schools will be closed.

The recent reports on homeschools has begged the question why are public schools having so much trouble? Homeschoolers out perform their peers by 40 percent and rank in the 86th percentile in every subject. The public school student performs on average in the 50th percentile. And yet, the average cost per home schooled student was $546 every year, as opposed to the average $5,325 spent annually on each child in the public school system.

Race made no difference in the the achievement of homeschoolers. All did equally well. However race did make a huge difference in the public schools persons of color ranking lower than their white counterparts.

Government oversight or no oversight made no difference in the success of the homeschooler. College educated or no college education parent teachers produced students with the same high success rates.

And most significant of all, more homeschoolers go on to higher education and achieving productive positions in their communities than public school students.

Obviously homeschoolers must be doing something right.

We know that the teacher's unions are chiefly about saving their jobs. That is their primary goal as it should be as a union. This has spawned the triple thick administrator rosters,higher teacher salaries that exceed the average state income levels,smaller class sizes,mainstreaming,tenure,lower teaching standards,fights against school testing and evaluation of academic achievement. This is not about the students but jobs.

Job number one should be our students. Job number one should be about how do we most effectively teach our children. Home schoolers seem to be the most successful. If you have a good working model duplicate it. That is how we do it in the business world. Copy their model, their curriculum, etc. In our area people want more fundamental public schools. The old guard is coming up with excuses why they can't do it even those these schools are rated A every time. Some folks running for office are for fundamental schools. Who do you think will be elected? The backers of fundamentals or those that back the teacher's unions?

I think real education reform is on the way. Our children will not be enslaved on the government dole. Our children won't be as dumb as we have been. They will not be lambs led to the slaughter anymore. Make November be the thunder to remember.

What Should Mr. Smith Do in Washington?

It has been standard behavior by voters to vote for and re elect representatives in local and federal government who will bring back the most money to their home town or state. We brag that so and so brought back all this money or sponsored this or that law that provided for so much for us. Taxes were low then, the value of the dollar was high, credit was plentiful, jobs available, home values showed a good return on value invested, each generation did better than the last and all was well with the world and as said in the book "Cannery Row" "the world was spinning in greased grooves."But as America progressed it's children like the children of the wisest man in the bible Solomon, the Anthony Robbins of his time, the children became lazy and spoiled demanding more and more and working less and less. The great society collapsed and the children and grand children of Solomon lost the kindom and all became enslaved. Americans no different than the children of the wisest man have also lost their way. Looking for every handout they can and not noticing that their governments are reaching into their back pockets for the very same dollars they are trying to get back. But soon this cyclic activity bore it's inevitable fruit, corruption at the deepest levels of government, bankrupt states, derelict cities, high unemployment and even higher numbers of people on the government dole.

What we should be voting for is Mr. Smiths who help us keep what we have in our pockets and stop laws that limit our abilities to go out and create our own businesses, jobs and lives that enrich us and our communities.

In small town America the most prosperous of us would build the libraries, hospitals, and schools, not the government. Instead of giving our livelihood away for other's to decide where it best can be spent, let us take responsibility for our own destinies. Let us look to ourselves for our own survival and look to government only for state and national defense.

When we put too many middlemen between ourselves and our means to advance we are setting ourselves up for failure. Without a life preserver we are more likely to learn to swim, without training wheels we are more likely to learn to peddle faster and better. Without a motorized wheel chair that knee replacement patient is more likely to learn to walk without assistance.

It is time we stop bragging on these professional politicians (who are really the most experienced citizens at living off the public dole) for getting this and that for their state. It is time we start bragging on those that have the courage to vote NO on more government redistributions of your own money and NO on more laws that chip a way at our freedom of self determination. Let us elect men and woman who write bills that curb government legislating every aspect of our lives and start fighting bills in court that have been passed that go against the very will of the people that elected them.

The far left have called conservatives the party of no, the party of no compassion, the party of racists, the party of no ideas.

But this is not true. As Solomon said there is nothing "new" under the sun. The old values of hard work and taking responsibility for ourselves and helping the infirm are as old as time itself. The only time the chosen people fell into to death, desease and bad times is when they forgot the age old principles God had laid out for them in his early levitical laws. As Christ told us he came not to change the laws but to fulfill them. We like the Pharisees have inserted so much of ourselves into our philisophies we have crowded out the simple truths of God. God is our manufacturer. He knows how we work best individually and as a group. The rules are simple and clear and we have taken many lifetimes to muck it up. It is time to get back to the basics of governance. It is time to ask Mr. Smith to teach our local and national governments to go back to the simple levels of government involvement in our lives and allow us the freedom to pursue life, liberty and happiness.

We have looked for the enemy and it is us Pogo, it is time we kill that enemy, forget past hurts and slights, stop looking for someone to bail us out of our own self created messes and pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and start again taking back our lives and our futures instead of putting our trust in men who care not for you but for their own petty ambitions for power and money. I don't know about you, but I'm tired of watching elected officials take lavish vacations, hold lavish dinners and other displays of power and wealth on my hard earned dime. These self absorbed emperors of all they survey brag about the redistributed wealth they have picked from our well worn pockets and at the same time tell us with croc tears that they feel our pain and state the obvious of the problems as if they care and understand. Then they hop into their limos and their first class airline seats or private government jets and go home on Thursday for their "weekend" not to be seen until Tuesday to wine and dine and boat and jet with the well heeled masses at the club or play 3 rounds of golf etc. You get the picture. It is time to elect real Mr. and Mrs. Smith who have only one goal and that is to get governments off our back and out of our pockets and then go home to go on to live the same lives they left.

When you go to the polls in November think on these things. Isn't about time we free the slaves for real this time. Isn't it about time we cut the chains that bind us. Isn't it about time we are really free?

I Have a Dream Deconstructed

For the Sharpton impaired as a public service to my brothers and sisters that were subjected to the flight induced free First Class Seat 7/7 mumbled nonsense that brother Al called a speech I would like to break it down for you Dr. King's famous speech honored with honor at the Restoring Honour Rally. In his speech Dr. King mentioned "free" or "freedom" 20 times. He spoke of the unrealized fullfillment of the Emancipation Proclamation. Yeah Freedom again more than once. He spoke of access to quality education for all, true freedom to travel,stay at hotels,use restrooms and water fountains,buses,trains,planes, restaurants all without fear of abuse or restriction. He spoke of equal opportunity for employment,voting, and representation in government. Quite frankly we have achieved all of that and more all subsidized by the working class and corporate america and what have we done with it? Many of us have chosen to refuse the gift fought for us so bravely. Some of us have decided to suckle the tit of the Federal government never getting on to solid food. Many old dinosaurs who I suspect were mearly coattail riders choose to act like nothing happened and we are still the underpriviledged and disenfranchised not of our own choosing. Still and forever the victim choosing rather to blame others for our own failures when we have many examples of people of every nationality,faith and creed who have succeeded far farther than they would have in any other country.

Dr. King was not preaching division, black ownership of this dream. He was preaching what God wants brotherhood for all. Is America perfect? Is there bigotry? No we are not perfect people and yes there is still bigotry. But do we legally have freedoms. For now yes. It is my dream that this division created by these old warhorses and brainwashed 30 and 40 year old Marxist Socialists who have been handed these old chestnuts to hold on to justify their hate and failures will be stopped. It is my dream that God will open the eyes of these blinded individuals to their devisive ways and Freedom will be preserved and restored to all Americans. That as Dr King stated,

"In a sense we've come to our nation's capital to cash a check. When the architects of our republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir. Dr. King did not believe the note was a handout, but a goal to freely be pursued by all mankind.

A Few Thousand Show Up for Beck and Call Rally

Just kidding folks. A million patriotic Americans of every flavor showed up to support the troops,celebrate the best country in the world(America),cheer with America's best national treasure and cheerleader Glenn Beck, and praise the Lord. I truely think Glenn was worried no one would show up. Glenn........ Even you underestimated the fervor of American's love for God and Country. Shame on you. Tears filled the eyes of every speaker and performer as they all seemed truely overwhelmed at the supersized turnout. I look forward to seeing how the MSNBC and CNN blowhards try to spin this as a small racist get together. But they will. Let them go ahead. I think Americans have found their resolve, their strength in the good Lord and got on their feet to prove it. When voting in November remember to pray first and then consider each candidate and ask yourself what your values are and who supports the ideals you believe in and what direction the country needs to go. Also ask yourself what you need to do to stop the current regime from crushing the American Dream. Voting should be a no brainer. This rally was an astounding success and a glaring example that the Americans know what they need to do to succeed and restore the American Dream. Washington be afraid, be very afraid the American Train is rolling on through and prepare for the moving van cause you're headed out of town.

In just six months, the largest tax hikes in the history of America will take effect. They will hit families and small businesses in three great waves on January 1, 2011:

First Wave: Expiration of 2001 and 2003 Tax Relief

In 2001 and 2003, the GOP Congress enacted several tax cuts for investors, small business owners, and families. These will all expire on January 1, 2011:

Personal income tax rates will rise. The top income tax rate will rise from 35 to 39.6 percent (this is also the rate at which two-thirds of small business profits are taxed). The lowest rate will rise from 10 to 15 percent. All the rates in between will also rise. Itemized deductions and personal exemptions will again phase out, which has the same mathematical effect as higher marginal tax rates. The full list of marginal rate hikes is below:

- The 10% bracket rises to an expanded 15%
- The 25% bracket rises to 28%
- The 28% bracket rises to 31%
- The 33% bracket rises to 36%
- The 35% bracket rises to 39.6%

Higher taxes on marriage and family. The “marriage penalty” (narrower tax brackets for married couples) will return from the first dollar of income. The child tax credit will be cut in half from $1000 to $500 per child. The standard deduction will no longer be doubled for married couples relative to the single level. The dependent care and adoption tax credits will be cut.

The return of the Death Tax. This year, there is no death tax. For those dying on or after January 1 2011, there is a 55 percent top death tax rate on estates over $1 million. A person leaving behind two homes and a retirement account could easily pass along a death tax bill to their loved ones.

Higher tax rates on savers and investors. The capital gains tax will rise from 15 percent this year to 20 percent in 2011. The dividends tax will rise from 15 percent this year to 39.6 percent in 2011. These rates will rise another 3.8 percent in 2013.

Second Wave: Obamacare

There are over twenty new or higher taxes in Obamacare. Several will first go into effect on January 1, 2011. They include:

The “Medicine Cabinet Tax” Thanks to Obamacare, Americans will no longer be able to use health savings account (HSA), flexible spending account (FSA), or health reimbursement (HRA) pre-tax dollars to purchase non-prescription, over-the-counter medicines (except insulin).

The “Special Needs Kids Tax” This provision of Obamacare imposes a cap on flexible spending accounts (FSAs) of $2500 (Currently, there is no federal government limit). There is one group of FSA owners for whom this new cap will be particularly cruel and onerous: parents of special needs children. There are thousands of families with special needs children in the United States, and many of them use FSAs to pay for special needs education. Tuition rates at one leading school that teaches special needs children in Washington, D.C. (National Child Research Center) can easily exceed $14,000 per year. Under tax rules, FSA dollars can be used to pay for this type of special needs education.

The HSA Withdrawal Tax Hike. This provision of Obamacare increases the additional tax on non-medical early withdrawals from an HSA from 10 to 20 percent, disadvantaging them relative to IRAs and other tax-advantaged accounts, which remain at 10 percent.

Third Wave: The Alternative Minimum Tax and Employer Tax Hikes

When Americans prepare to file their tax returns in January of 2011, they’ll be in for a nasty surprise—the AMT won’t be held harmless, and many tax relief provisions will have expired. The major items include:

The AMT will ensnare over 28 million families, up from 4 million last year. According to the left-leaning Tax Policy Center, Congress’ failure to index the AMT will lead to an explosion of AMT taxpaying families—rising from 4 million last year to 28.5 million. These families will have to calculate their tax burdens twice, and pay taxes at the higher level. The AMT was created in 1969 to ensnare a handful of taxpayers.

Small business expensing will be slashed and 50% expensing will disappear. Small businesses can normally expense (rather than slowly-deduct, or “depreciate”) equipment purchases up to $250,000. This will be cut all the way down to $25,000. Larger businesses can expense half of their purchases of equipment. In January of 2011, all of it will have to be “depreciated.”

Taxes will be raised on all types of businesses. There are literally scores of tax hikes on business that will take place. The biggest is the loss of the “research and experimentation tax credit,” but there are many, many others. Combining high marginal tax rates with the loss of this tax relief will cost jobs.

Tax Benefits for Education and Teaching Reduced. The deduction for tuition and fees will not be available. Tax credits for education will be limited. Teachers will no longer be able to deduct classroom expenses. Coverdell Education Savings Accounts will be cut. Employer-provided educational assistance is curtailed. The student loan interest deduction will be disallowed for hundreds of thousands of families.

Charitable Contributions from IRAs no longer allowed. Under current law, a retired person with an IRA can contribute up to $100,000 per year directly to a charity from their IRA. This contribution also counts toward an annual “required minimum distribution.” This ability will no longer be there.

Gas prices are going to skyrock again, and nobody in power has a lucid plan to open drilling to solve the problem. This country has the largest oil reserves in the WORLD, and we cannot drill for it because the politicians have been bought by the flea-hugging environmentalists.

Our schools are in a complete disaster because of the teachers union.

Our borders are like sieves and they want to give all illegal's amnesty and free healthcare.

The middle class is being squeezed to death every day.
These are times that cry out for leadership.
But when you look around, you've got to ask: 'Where have all the leaders gone?' Where are the curious, creative communicators? Where are the people of character, courage, conviction, omnipotence, and common sense? I may be a sucker for alliteration, but I think you get the point..
Name me a leader who has a better idea for homeland security than making us take off our shoes in airports and throw away our shampoo?
We've spent billions of dollars building a huge new bureaucracy, and all we know how to do is react to things that have already happened.
Everyone's hunkering down, fingers crossed, hoping the government will make it better for them. Now, that's just crazy.. Deal with life.
Name me an industry leader who is thinking creatively about how we can restore our competitive edge in manufacturing. Who would have believed that there could ever be a time when 'The Big Three' referred to Japanese car companies? How did this happen, and more important, look what Obama did about it!
Name me a government leader who can articulate a plan for paying down the debit, or solving the energy crisis, or managing the health care problem. The silence is deafening. But these are the crises that are eating away at our country and milking the middle class dry.
I have news for the Chicago gangsters in Congress. We didn't elect you to turn this country into a losing European Socialist state. What is everybody so afraid of? That some bonehead on NBC or CNN news will call them a name? Give me a break. Why don't you guys show some spine for a change?

It’s two oclock in the morning July 4th 2010. I find myself thinking about the crossroads that Americans find themselves. Are we to allow the most corrupt government in the history of America to continue it’s annilation of our beloved land, or are we going to clean out the house and reclaim it? I wonder what our founding fathers would think of us?

We had become so busy with our lives we failed to see the freedoms we so cherished slipping through our fingers one by one. We became so insulated to what our leaders were saying that we grew lazy in our pursuit of excellence in leadership. We were content to follow those that tickled our ears and massaged our egos.

I think of the men and woman who sacrificed, fought and died to preserve our country in our beginnings and those that are still fighting today and how casually we have let our nation go to seed without any will to stay the course to preserve it.

Now is the time and now is the day that we must take up our beds and walk the streets waking the sleepers to the dangers. We are in danger of losing all that we hold dear if we do not act now.

We must rise up and wrestle our country and its freedoms back from those internal invaders that have but one agenda and that is to destroy us from within economically, spiritually, and ideologically.

We must not go softly into this night but fight fight the dying of lady liberty’s light.

Let us pledge before God this day and before our fellow Americans to make this a new Independence Day free from dependence on government handouts taken from other hard working Americans. Let us pledge to do all we can to live, thrive and survive by the sweat of our own brow and choose leaders that do the same.

Founding Fathers ... Signers of the Declaration of Independence

Interesting facts about the 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence! Twenty-four were lawyers / jurists.

Eleven were merchants.

Nine were farmers and large plantation owners.

Five were captured by the British as traitors, and tortured before they died. Twelve had their homes ransacked and burned.

Two lost their sons serving in the Revolutionary Army; another had two sons captured.

Nine fought and died from wounds or hardships of the Revolutionary War. They signed and they pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor.

And while many know of Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, John Hancock, John Adams, and other famous signers . . . here is what happened to several of the lesser known ones...

Carter Braxton of Virginia, a wealthy planter and trader, saw his ships swept from the seas by the British Navy. He sold his home and properties to pay his debts, and died in rags.

Thomas McKean was so hounded by the British that he was forced to move his family almost constantly. He served in the Congress without pay, and his family was kept in hiding. His possessions were taken from him, and poverty was his reward.

Dillery, Hall, Clymer, Walton, Gwinnett, Heyward, Rutledge, and Middleton had their properties looted by vandals or soldiers.

Thomas Nelson Jr., at the battle of Yorktown, noted that the British General Cornwallis had taken over the Nelson home for his headquarters. He quietly urged General George Washington to open fire. The home was destroyed, and Nelson died bankrupt.

Francis Lewis had his home and properties destroyed. The enemy jailed his wife, and she died within a few months.

John Hart was driven from his wife's bedside as she was dying. Their 13 children fled for their lives. His fields and his gristmill were laid to waste. For more than a year he lived in forests and caves, returning home to find his wife dead and his children vanished. A few weeks later he died from exhaustion and a broken heart.

Norris and Livingston suffered similar fates.

Such were the stories and sacrifices of the American Revolution. These were not wild-eyed or war hungry . . . They were soft-spoken men of means and education. They had security, but they valued liberty more. Standing tall, straight, and unwavering, they pledged . . .

"For the support of this declaration, with firm reliance on the protection of the divine providence, we mutually pledge to each other, our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor."

So, every July 4th . . . take a moment to silently remember these first USA patriots for doing what was needed, regardless of consequences to themselves . . . And do the same for all of the heroes who have followed them, as their noble efforts allow us to continue to celebrate Independence Day as it was meant to be!

Freedom is priceless . . . as its costs are the lives given valiantly to have it!

(Before the Continental Congress - August 1, 1776)

WE ARE now on this continent, to the astonishment of the world, three millions of souls united in one cause. We have large armies, well disciplined and appointed, with commanders inferior to none in military skill, and superior in activity and zeal. We are furnished with arsenals and stores beyond our most sanguine expectations, and foreign nations are waiting to crown our success by their alliances. There are instances of, I would say, an almost astonishing Providence in our favor; our success has staggered our enemies, and almost given faith to infidels; so we may truly say it is not our own arm which has saved us.
The hand of Heaven appears to have led us on to be, perhaps, humble instruments and means in the great providential dispensation, which is completing. We have fled from the political Sodom; let us not look back, lest we perish and become a monument of infamy and derision to the world. For can we ever expect more unanimity and a better preparation for defense; more infatuation of counsel among our enemies, and more valor and zeal among ourselves? The same force and resistance, which are sufficient to procure us our liberties will secure us a glorious independence and support us in the dignity of free, imperial states. We cannot suppose that our opposition has made a corrupt and dissipated nation more friendly to America, or created in them a greater respect for the rights of mankind. We can therefore expect a restoration and establishment of our privileges, and a compensation for the injuries we have received, from their want of power, from their fears, and not from their virtues. The unanimity and valor, which will effect an honorable peace, can render a future contest for our liberties unnecessary. He who has strength to chain down the wolf is a madman if he let him loose without drawing his teeth and paring his nails.

We have no other alternative than independence, or the most ignominious and galling servitude. The legions of our enemies thicken on our plains; desolation and death mark their bloody career; whilst the mangled corpses of our countrymen seem to cry out to us as a voice from Heaven.
Our union is now complete; our constitution composed, established, and approved. You are now the guardians of your own liberties. We may justly address you, as the decemviri did the Romans, and say: "Nothing that we propose can pass into a law without your consent. Be yourselves, O Americans, the authors of those laws on which your happiness depends."

You have now in the field armies sufficient to repel the whole force of your enemies and their base and mercenary auxiliaries. The hearts of your soldiers beat high with the spirit of freedom; they are animated with the justice of their cause, and while they grasp their swords can look up to Heaven for assistance. Your adversaries are composed of wretches who laugh at the rights of humanity, who turn religion into derision, and would, for higher wages, direct their swords against their leaders or their country. Go on, then, in your generous enterprise, with gratitude to Heaven for past, success, and confidence of it in the future. For my own part, I ask no greater blessing than to share with you the common danger and common glory. If I have a wish dearer to my soul than that my ashes may be mingled with those of a Warren and a Montgomery, it is that these American States may never cease to be free and independent.
