What if he is Right?

This seemed so appropriate right now. This is another gem passed on to me by my fellow patriot J. Thanks J.

What if he's right?

I hope you find the time to read this with an open mind. It's interesting. Please read it with the open mind rather than immediately breaking it down into left or right, but rather look at it from the neutral viewpoint of right or wrong. It's like the line below says, "what if he is right?"

Take the three minutes to read this.

Maybe he is wrong, but what if he’s right?

David Kaiser is a respected historian whose published works have covered a broad range of topics, from European Warfare to American League Baseball. Born in 1947, the son of a diplomat, Kaiser spent his childhood in three capital cities: Washington D.C. , Albany , New York , and Dakar , Senegal .. He attended Harvard University , graduating there in 1969 with a B.A. in history. He then spent several years more at Harvard, gaining a PhD in history, which he obtained in 1976. He served in the Army Reserve from 1970 to 1976.

He is a professor in the Strategy and Policy Department of the United States Naval War College . He has previously taught at Carnegie Mellon, Williams College and Harvard University . Kaiser's latest book, The Road to Dallas, about the Kennedy assassination, was just published by Harvard University Press.

Dr. David Kaiser

History Unfolding

I am a student of history. Professionally, I have written 15 books on history that have been published in six languages, and I have studied history all my life. I have come to think there is something monumentally large afoot, and I do not believe it is simply a banking crisis, or a mortgage crisis, or a credit crisis. Yes these exist, but they are merely single facets on a very large gemstone that is only now coming into a sharper focus..

Something of historic proportions is happening. I can sense it because I know how it feels, smells, what it looks like, and how people react to it. Yes, a perfect storm may be brewing, but there is something happening within our country that has been evolving for about ten to fifteen years. The pace has dramatically quickened in the past two.

We demand and then codify into law the requirement that our banks make massive loans to people we know they can never pay back? Why?

We learned just days ago that the Federal Reserve, which has little or no real oversight by anyone, has "loaned" two trillion dollars (that is $2,000,000,000,000) over the past few months, but will not tell us to whom or why or disclose the terms. That is our money. Yours and mine. And that is three times the $700 billion we all argued about so strenuously just this past September. Who has this money? Why do they have it? Why are the terms unavailable to us? Who asked for it? Who authorized it? I thought this was a government of "we the people," who loaned our powers to our elected leaders. Apparently not.

We have spent two or more decades intentionally de-industrializing our economy... Why?

We have intentionally dumbed down our schools, ignored our history, and no longer teach our founding documents, why we are exceptional, and why we are worth preserving. Students by and large cannot write, think critically, read, or articulate. Parents are not revolting, teachers are not picketing, school boards continue to back mediocrity. Why?

We have now established the precedent of protesting every close election (violently in California over a proposition that is so controversial that it simply wants marriage to remain defined as between one man and one woman. Did you ever think such a thing possible just a decade ago?) We have corrupted our sacred political process by allowing unelected judges to write laws that radically change our way of life, and then mainstream Marxist groups like ACORN and others to turn our voting system into a banana republic. To what purpose?

Now our mortgage industry is collapsing, housing prices are in free fall, major industries are failing, our banking system is on the verge of collapse, social security is nearly bankrupt, as is Medicare and our entire government. Our education system is worse than a joke (I teach college and I know precisely what I am talking about) - the list is staggering in its length, breadth, and depth.. It is potentially 1929 x ten...And we are at war with an enemy we cannot even name for fear of offending people of the same religion, who, in turn, cannot wait to slit the throats of your children if they have the opportunity to do so.

And finally, we have elected a man that no one really knows anything about, who has never run so much as a Dairy Queen, let alone a town as big as Wasilla , Alaska .. All of his associations and alliances are with real radicals in their chosen fields of employment, and everything we learn about him, drip by drip, is unsettling if not downright scary (Surely you have heard him speak about his idea to create and fund a mandatory civilian defense force stronger than our military for use inside our borders? No? Oh, of course. The media would never play that for you over and over and then demand he answer it. Sarah Palin's pregnant daughter and $150,000 wardrobe are more important.)

Mr. Obama's winning platform can be boiled down to one word: Change. Why?

I have never been so afraid for my country and for my children as I am now.

This man campaigned on bringing people together, something he has never, ever done in his professional life. In my assessment, Obama will divide us along philosophical lines, push us apart, and then try to realign the pieces into a new and different power structure. Change is indeed coming. And when it comes, you will never see the same nation again.

And that is only the beginning..

As a serious student of history, I thought I would never come to experience what the ordinary, moral German must have felt in the mid-1930s In those times, the "savior" was a former smooth-talking rabble-rouser from the streets, about whom the average German knew next to nothing. What they should have known was that he was associated with groups that shouted, shoved, and pushed around people with whom they disagreed; he edged his way onto the political stage through great oratory. Conservative "losers" read it right now.

And there were the promises. Economic times were tough, people were losing jobs, and he was a great speaker. And he smiled and frowned and waved a lot. And people, even newspapers, were afraid to speak out for fear that his "brown shirts" would bully and beat them into submission. Which they did - regularly. And then, he was duly elected to office, while a full-throttled economic crisis bloomed at hand - the Great Depression. Slowly, but surely he seized the controls of government power, person by person, department by department, bureaucracy by bureaucracy. The children of German citizens were at first, encouraged to join a Youth Movement in his name where they were taught exactly what to think. Later, they were required to do so. No Jews of course,

How did he get people on his side? He did it by promising jobs to the jobless, money to the money-less, and rewards for the military-industrial complex. He did it by indoctrinating the children, advocating gun control, health care for all, better wages, better jobs, and promising to re-instill pride once again in the country, across Europe , and across the world. He did it with a compliant media - did you know that? And he did this all in the name of justice and .... . ... change. And the people surely got what they voted for.

If you think I am exaggerating, look it up. It's all there in the history books.

So read your history books. Many people of conscience objected in 1933 and were shouted down, called names, laughed at, and ridiculed. When Winston Churchill pointed out the obvious in the late 1930s while seated in the House of Lords in England (he was not yet Prime Minister), he was booed into his seat and called a crazy troublemaker. He was right, though. And the world came to regret that he was not listened to.

Do not forget that Germany was the most educated, the most cultured country in Europe . It was full of music, art, museums, hospitals, laboratories, and universities. And yet, in less than six years (a shorter time span than just two terms of the U. S. presidency) it was rounding up its own citizens, killing others, abrogating its laws, turning children against parents, and neighbors against neighbors.. All with the best of intentions, of course.. The road to Hell is paved with them.

As a practical thinker, one not overly prone to emotional decisions, I have a choice: I can either believe what the objective pieces of evidence tell me (even if they make me cringe with disgust); I can believe what history is shouting to me from across the chasm of seven decades; or I can hope I am wrong by closing my eyes, having another latte, and ignoring what is transpiring around me..

I choose to believe the evidence. No doubt some people will scoff at me, others laugh, or think I am foolish, naive, or both. To some degree, perhaps I am. But I have never been afraid to look people in the eye and tell them exactly what I believe-and why I believe it.

I pray I am wrong. I do not think I am. Perhaps the only hope is our vote in the next elections.

Am I a Hatemonger and a Fearmonger?

On this sabath the vote will take place that is more than what is presented. On the surface it looks like a Christian compassionate vote for providing healthcare for all Americans at an affordable price. It has been marketed as such for the last year. But after much personal investigation and study I come to know the Health Reform Bill to not be as advertized. It is in reality a marketing tool itself. An instrument to bring about a change in this country that our founding fathers feared would happen if it's people became less than vigilant in selecting those that represent their interests and freedoms. Am I here to spread hate in the guise of Christian piety? Let it never be. The hate I spread is only hate for deception, lies and thieves. Am I here to spread fear? May it never be. For I believe that God did not give us a spirit of fear but a sound mind. I do believe as Christians we do have a responsibility to warn people in leadership of their own self deception that can result in taking away not only our liberty, but theirs as well. I do believe we have a responsibility as Americans to vent every bill that comes before those that represent us and if we find that it is not good to tell other Americans.

Any legislation that requires bribes, kickbacks, strategic marketing, lobbiests, political manuvers and secrecy must not be good for anyone. It is liken to the poison in the koolade for those in Jim Jones cult group.

People from every country, American states and Indian Rezs that are currently under Government run Healthcare have told us don't even think of going there. Danger Will Robinson, Danger. This has also persuaded me.

I looked at Cuba. The country Waters bragged on. What I find out was horrific.

The analysis of great minds.

I checked out info on other blogs

And on further investigation I am finding out there is more than Health Reform law buried in this unread tomb.

There is much more that I found out that is even more horrifying so I feel even more urgency in fighting against this trojan horse built specifically to bury our American freedoms we so dearly love. I also want to protect my right and your right to keep what you work for and spend your money in the way you see fit and not go through a second party. Our nation is a nation of faith and we over the many years are a generous nation that has aided others around the world and at home when they are in need. We do not need a forced engine to drive us to share our blessings. We already do.

I read about a recent Christian group that has established their own Healthcare fund. Each member pays in and when one member ends up in hospital or needs expensive test the fund pays out. That's folks helping folks at a grassroots level. Now they they don't pay for every living thing and folks are responsible for living as healthy of a life as they can. This form is what insurance was originally designed for chronic serious health issues only. But, folks pariticipating in it seem to like it.

I urge everyone to vote NO today in the legislature. I urge everyone to pray that eyes and hearts will be opened to the folly in this bill. And I urge all those able to try to show up today and voice your opinion to those voting today.

May God Bless America and her Freedom

Real American Patriot

With all the talk of the complete turncoats in Washington during this health tax mess a patriot friend and veteran sent me this story of a real patriot and hero that the far left press doesn't deem important enough to cover. Well I do.

Those of you who might not know, the man on the left is the Commandant of the Marine Corps, and he is proud to know the man on the right.

Maybe you'd like to hear about a real American, somebody who honored the uniform he wears.

Meet Brian Chontosh Churchville-Chili Central School Class of 1991.
Proud graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology.

Husband and about-to-be father. First lieutenant (now Captain) in the United States Marine Corps. And a genuine hero, the secretary of the Navy said so yesterday.

At 29 Palms in California Brian Chontosh was presented with the Navy Cross, the second highest award for combat bravery the United States can bestow.

That's a big deal. But you won't see it on the network news tonight

And all you'll read in Brian's hometown newspaper is two paragraphs of nothing. The odd fact about the American media in this war is that it's not covering the American military. The most plugged-in nation in the world is receiving virtually no true information about what its warriors are doing.

Oh, sure, there's a body count. We know how many Americans have fallen. And we see those same casket pictures day in and day out.

And we're almost on a first-name basis with the jerks who abused the Iraqi prisoners. And we know all about improvised explosive devices and how we lost Fallujah and what Arab public-opinion polls say about us and how the world hates us.

We get a non-stop feed of gloom and doom but we don't hear about the heroes. The incredibly brave GIs who honorably do their duty. The ones our grandparents would have carried on their shoulders down Fifth Avenue .

The ones we completely ignore, like Brian Chontosh. It was a year ago on the march into Baghdad . Brian Chontosh was a platoon leader rolling up Highway 1 in a humvee.

When all hell broke loose, ambush city. The young Marines were being cut to ribbons. Mortars, machine guns, rocket propelled grenades.

And the kid out of Churchville was in charge. It was do or die and it was up to him. So he moved to the side of his column, looking for a way to lead his men to safety. As he tried to poke a hole through the Iraqi line his humvee came under direct enemy machine gun fire. It was fish in a barrel and the Marines were the fish. And Brian Chontosh gave the order to attack...

He told his driver to floor the humvee directly at the machine gun emplacement that was firing at them. And he had the guy on top with the 50 cal unload on them.

Within moments there were Iraqis slumped across their machine guns and Chontosh was still advancing, ordering his driver now to take the Humvee directly into the Iraqi trench that was attacking his Marines.

Over into the battlement the humvee went and out the door Brian Chontosh bailed, carrying an M16 and a Beretta and 228 years of Marine Corps pride.

And he ran along the trench, with its mortars and riflemen, machine guns and grenadiers. And he killed them all. He fought with the M16 until it was out of ammo. Then he fought with the Beretta until it was out of ammo. Then he picked up a dead man's AK4 and fought with that until it was out of ammo.

Then he picked up another dead man's AK47 and fought with that until it was out of ammo.

At one point he even fired a discarded Iraqi RPG into an enemy cluster, sending attackers flying with its grenade explosion.

When he was done Brian Chontosh had cleared 200 yards of entrenched Iraqis from his platoon's flank. He had killed more than 20 and wounded at least as many more.

But that's probably not how he would tell it. He would probably merely say that his Marines were in trouble, and he got them out of trouble. Ooh-rah, and drive on.

"By his outstanding display of decisive leadership, unlimited courage in the face of heavy enemy fire, and utmost devotion to duty, 1st Lt. Chontosh reflected great credit upon himself and upheld the highest traditions of the Marine Corps and the United States Naval Service."

That's what the citation says. And that's what nobody will hear. That's what doesn't seem to be making the evening news.

Accounts of American valor are dismissed by the press as propaganda, yet accounts of American difficulties are heralded as objectivity. It makes you wonder if the role of the media is to inform or to depress - to report or to deride. To tell the truth, or to feed us lies.

But I guess it doesn't matter. We're going to turn out all right as long as men like Brian Chontosh

wear our uniform.

If you are as proud of this Marine as I am, then send this to EVERYONE YOU KNOW

Thanks J for sharing this story with me.

Obamacare Let's Make a Deal

I think we have all been told if it sounds to good to be true it probably is... I think we have also learned that every huge bill presented to the public will cost more than promised and break before we even begin to use it. The Obama/Pelosi Health Bill is nothing more than the biggest money and power grab in the history of this country. The problem with this bill is that it is a life and death situtation. The Democrat progressive engine is deliberately going against the will of the people. It is simply theft. It is no better than a home invasion with street thugs going for your money and valuables. This engine is going for bribery, elimination of opponents within their own party through skeleton digging and spending even more money flying Obama around for photo ops with pathetically uninformed brainwashed followers. IE students and black folk who think he is family and looking for a handout. Get off of the feds plantation brothers and sisters cause the gravy train is breaking down and soon you will be slaves again too. The wealthy will retreat to other more friendly countries and the struggling working class will say what the heck why work and bail. The big push for this Health Tax and that is what it is another tax is to finance the career politicians own bank accounts without printing more American dollars. They can no longer print more money to get them reelected. If they do it will completely collapse the economy.
It is time for real change and impeach Obama and his thugs and vote the remainder out of office. Create two year term limits for all federal offices and supreme court justices. Use online conference calling to connect representatives and general votes for all issues of import. Close every federal agency excluding national defense. End all income and property taxes and switch to itemized feebased services for trash, mail, education that are provided by the private sector. This will creat jobs that are not funded by the government or controlled by taxpayer funded unions. Start Federal and State sales taxes of 5 percent each on everything but food, fuel and healthcare to cover roads bridges, sewer, firefighting and law enforcement. Any increase to said taxes would come to a public vote. Place a 10 percent tariff on all imports. Cut off all lifetime benefits of any retired politician. The majority are multimillionaires anyway. For those who have paid into the social security system over the years the saving and profits gained from closing agencies and selling off property and goods will go to paying each and every individual a lump sum based on money paid in plus interest to be determined.
No more deals Obama. The American people aren't buying what you are selling. Time to slam the scam artist and kick him to the curb.
